At every mention of "The Organist Entertains" I get really irritated by the BBC's decision to axe the programme. How very short-sighted of them.
What a good job there is UA-cam!

Thank you for sending me a notification via Google, because of lockdown for me another 11 weeks I have done 5 weeks, but as a child I marvelled at a man rise up out if the floor playing the most beautiful sound that I had ever heard, that was Reginald Dixon, since then I am an avid fan of organ music especially the wurlitzer, I am feeling low at this time but you have lifted my spirit, to me and you american people I have watched your wurlitzer organ's also, but a big thank you for sending this.

I am pleased to hear that it's helped to lift your spirits, Roger. That's who got the ball rolling for me too, though I was never lucky enough to see him live. There's a fair few videos on here that I'm sure you can enjoy until better times. Thanks for taking the time to comment, and stay safe.
P.S I'm Scottish, and the channel is run from Scotland lol

Lets hope that this wonderful Wurlitzer does not end up with the same fate as the Wolverhampton Compton (yes I know it is not a Wurlitzer). The said that the civic hall needed modernisation but although the organ would be removed and replace back in site after modernisation was complete. BUT THE COUNCIL HAD OTHER THOUGHTS AND THE PIPES WERE SENT TO LANDFILL AS THEY SAID IT WAS COVERED WITH ASBESTOS !!!!but we will keep the console :(

It won't. Along with the rest of the Tower it's grade I listed.

I'm afraid photos of the chamber's are few and far between. It is much the same as many other Wurlitzer theatre organs in the chambers though.
