    I’ve used that Spear & Jackson leaf grabber for 3 years, it’s now only starting to weaken, the Darlac ones are better but they do the job fine.
    Regarding fuel, just use premium unleaded petrol, Shell VPower for example.

    the Fuel situation really doesn't matter for lawn mowers. The engines/carbs are incredibly basic, if its petrol it'll run just fine. I personally wouldn't waste money with expensive fuel on a lawn mower. It's the water and dirt that'll cause you a lot of hassle and possible damage. just stick E10 in it. thanks for the video!

      Thank you ,Really good advise, Just read your comment to the wife and she said all the companies trying to make more money out of use by scaring us into buying there products. I haven't had any real problems ,not major one's the engines on machines in my life time last longer than the rest of the parts.
      Appreciate you taking the time to comment.

      @@StephenCheeseGardenServices your wife is absolutely right, its a money making scheme. the thing E5 will do is deteriorate rubber parts quicker like fuel line, seals etc. but its by no means a quick process. like you said, 9/10 times the engine is the one thing that doesn't fail. If you have any questions just let me know as I work as a mechanic for Garden machinery/ small plant. happy to help out!

    I'd say if your burning the fuel within a couple of weeks your fine... your only going to have problems.if it sat in the machine for months at a time then that can attract moisture.. I get fresh fuel most weeks so I don't worry about it ... I've been on the Gt85 spray lube is good stuff if you see it on offer grab some.. .. think that coat might melt the 🧀 😂👍👍🤠🍻

      Yeah, I agree with this comment. I used GT85 too for the hedge trimmer blades. Slightly less messy than WD-40 for that job but I would use WD-40 for everything else

  • @kepadaservices1286
    @kepadaservices1286 9 місяців тому +2

    I buy WD40 by the gallon, because I get through a lot of it . E5 petrol for all my petrol tools. Bulldog paper roll is a bargain, I buy blue rolls from Costco, but will get some bulldog and see if they do a better job.
    Top video buddy
    Peace and love brother.

    Hi Steve, i have lost count on how many flexi tubs i have gone through. 🙄. Maybe the ones sold for equestrian use are better as they are made from recycled car tyres, more expensive but much tougher - probably !

    • @StephenCheeseGardenServices
      @StephenCheeseGardenServices  9 місяців тому +1

      I did not know that, My dad was a gardener and I don't remember him spending so much money on sundries, The tub looks a lot nicer than the dirty bucket I was using,🤣

      Haven’t watched the video yet - watching now! But REDGORILLA tubs are hands down the best. Maybe not the cheapest but they Don’t get brittle, last forever as far as I can tell.

    AC 90 from tool station is a cheaper alternative to WD40. Btw.

      when I run out of unleaded in the cans , I often put two stroke in the mowers ,it can make them smoke but the roller mowers have not felled me yet , you know in a pinch.

      You won't have any issues using it day today as long as it's fairly fresh. It's when you store it with some left in for an extended time, especially over the winter months that's when the problems will occur and parts inside will degrade faster than they should have with ethanol free fuel

    e5 better fuel mate.has less ethanol in it. & if you treat your machine's to a dose of Vpower or ultimate now & then it has added detergents which will give the fuel system a clean👍
