I remember when I just started playing, I got a boat and an oar, I was just exploring and a blue bird kills me, I must be a lucky person spawning a malbatross without knowing what that is
They honestly should just make the Malbatross bill unbreakable. I mean, players don't use that many of them after sails become a thing, and using one is annoying. So making a boss drop an unbreakable tool isn't overpowered in this case. Actually, in the hamlet DLC, they have a Royal Crown that is unbreakable and has a +4.4 sanity aura. That is a much better unbreakable item, so an immortal paddle makes sense. Anyway, that would be the first step to making it useful. Then you need to give it a better use. Here is a list of possible bill uses. A magic weapon- It would use two blue gems. When you hit a mob, it becomes wet. Instantly the best weapon for a team with access to Volt Goat Chaud-Froid. A speargun- There are two ways to do this. You either have the gun shoot out the bill, which opens, bringing the fish to you. Or you just shoot it at the mob and kill it. So possible ranged damage and a faster way to get fish. This craft would have durability, but I feel like it should be rechargeable. Possibly with gears as that would be part of the recipe. A magic staff- I have an idea. After the moon biome is complete, they could let you empower the bill with moon energy, and that lets you use it as a crafting item for better staffs. Not every staff and the magic item will get an event, so you could use it to infuse gems with moon energy. I think you combine the bill and any staff, the beak is the new base with the gem in its bill. So like the Volcano Staff, but for every variant. Alternatively, you could build a new type of staff with the iridescent gem and have this staff upgrade any other gems with limited durability. Red- The Red gem means life and energy. So what if this staff didn't shoot fire, it awakened plants. Like carrots into car-rats, dragon fruit into Saladmandes, and possibly a few new mobs based on plants. Though the staff would make more the one animal, otherwise you would have awakened a dragon fruit, waited for it to ripen, fight off a surprisingly powerful little monster that sets you on fire, and just got back the same dragon fruit from before. Blue- Blue means Cold and water, so if the normal ice staff freezes enemies, what about an upgraded version that not only encases them in ice but also upgrades it with large lunar glass segments. This would mean that the mob you freeze stays frozen for a few seconds longer, and for a few hits. This is a straight upgrade, but if you want to get more moon-based with this, any creature nest can be frozen to frozen instantly turn it into a lunar version. So you can upgrade hound mounds, and spiders nests. The twist that the staff actually has much lower durability, but it also absorbs energy from killing moon-based mobs. So you can keep this from breaking, but in a big fight, you will only get a few attacks with it unless you leave the fight to go fight something else just to come back with a stun. Purple- This seems like a strange gem, honestly. I was going to make it just teleport you directly to the nearest purple moon lense, but after looking it up, the gems seem to do everything. You want to learn magic, well the purple gem makes the main magic crafting station. You want to be better in a fight, well the gem also makes a weapon that gives you life steal. It does everything whenever they want a generic magic battery for an item to be called magical. So I say, screw teleporting, you point this staff at a mob, and they can permanently see shadow monsters. This could be amazing with a group of pigs when you are being hunted by nightmares. You could also cast this on other players, but the effect is temporary. It is still useful in stopping the little minions he summons. The staff lets you see and attack them, but you aren't technically insane, so his stun won't affect you.
The malbatross Bill ore is for the case when it breaks all your sails and you need to get back to shore after beating it so it don't screw you over even if you win the fight.
I accidentally found one of these the other day within literally first 10 minutes of sailing on that particular world. It destroyed my sail but I escaped with 4 feathers. But it attacked me for no reason it seemed. I wasn’t even fishing.
I get a close banck of deep bass close tho the land and the malbatros spawns every Time y try to farm some fish, damn even once spawned 2 malbatros at the same time XD
Each mast will decrease in efficiency quite significantly however even but two winged sails makes the boat fast enough for nothing else to matter afterwards.

@@TheBeard777 I totaly understand it still is super niche as what experienced sailor don't have 20 driftwood/wood for ores?
I forgot that these even existed
Thanks beard! I've been curious about this...
Hope you like it and that it helps ya!
fun fac, the name of this boss likely comes from the demon bird malphas
Keep up the great guides and greater gameplay!
Glad you like them!

I literally just watched the last video where he said he might revisit the mlbatross what a coincidendink

Huh, so the number of sails does matter past two. Still, even a boat stuffed overful of winged sails wouldn’t seem to make the sailing any better.
Each mast will decrease in efficiency quite significantly however even but two winged sails makes the boat fast enough for nothing else to matter afterwards.
One day you will do a wall guide. You may have your ways of persuasion, but I have not forgotten.

Best looking boss list?
I don’t like the ocean just because of how empty it is
Good stuff per usual man!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It it good idea to kill him using 50 blowdarts? Also what would it take to craft them?
Jesus christ it's been a year ever since I watched beard I need some catching up to do
Oh boy, you sure do, friend... them daily uploads are gonna have you busy! :D
Can you make a new kite guide?
I'll talk about kiting some basic mobs eventually, yes.
Can I ask the mod to show the t health bar and how much damage it does to the boss?
Finally yesss
:D
Can you make a meat guide ?
Perhaps, what would that entail however?
meat crafting recipes,
meat crockpot recipes,
how to get a lot of it,
and all the different types of it.
I'm allergic to dst boats. Looks ok though
Do you think you could make another lets play?
You mean another outside of Wes Wednesday? Sure, there will be more to come down the line.
La barba777 ¿Is possible to catch a squid whit the fishing rod?
No, skitter squids can't be picked up or placed in our inventories. They are just mobs that need to be killed or otherwise left alone.
@@TheBeard777 just asking because in a playthrough one squid eat a fish i was catching but the lure doesn't go of and i was "why i have the squid hooked now?" But the hook suddenly goes of and the squid atacks me
Man really can't get kiting down
What's your problem do you think? Not enough speed, just don't actually know the amount of hits you should get, forgetting to bait out attacks first?
