- The spaniel gang takes its Sunday Saunter for Sherpa on a cool Sunday morning
The leaves are really changing colour now, birds are out singing and eating the berries; mushrooms and toadstool are still out, but not as much as they were. The season is definitely changing into Autumn.
If you haven't seen Sherpa, head over to his channel @sherpasday and @sherpa. He was an amazing Malamute.

Happy sniffs.
Lovely Autumn colours too !
@chrispat4209 it's starting to smell autumnal too.
I've just re-read your last comment, sorry I misinterpreted it. Our Teddies are fine with loud noises, although when The Major starts shouting and swearing at inanimate objects they do tend to disappear, especially if the shouting has something to do with one of them taking his tools and hiding them in the woods when he is trying to do some work outside 😅
Hello Spaniels!
Thanks for this lovely saunter. I do love listening to a dog bark echoing in trees. Reminds me of home. And my Gramma's. My Pittie, Samantha, does not talk. In fact, she recently slept through a friend coming over at midnight. Fearsome! And such a great guard dog.
I would want to bring home all of the pebbles! :)
Yes, a local saunter would be lovely.
Do you find a lot of mushrooms there?
I remember that commercial! We had it in America as well.
@shalacarter6658 we do get a lot of mushrooms and toadstool, normally between July and September, sometimes as early as May. We even occasionally get "fairy rings" along our trails, they look so pretty until the teddies run through them lol
Wish we had one of your Spaniels here. My husband and elder son are out Dove hunting and we no longer have a hunting dog.
Blessings!
@shalacarter6658 although our gang are gun dogs, we don't hunt, never have. Our spaniels can tell the difference between weapons fire and fireworks, they don't bat an eyelid at weapons fire, but do bark if it's fireworks.
@@parsleyhillspaniels393 My dog can barely stand when we have to yell at each other over the sound of the tv. :)
I had a Britany Spaniel once. He was a good hunter. Excellent at quartering. Spaniels are just so adorable!
@shalacarter6658 we've always had spaniels and always Englush cockers with English springers, they make such great company. Our spaniels bring such joy and smiles everyday. We sometimes have to raise our voices at Cheesie when she "cocks a deaf'n", but on the whole the only loud noise is Swiss lol
@@parsleyhillspaniels393 It's a shame Cocker Spaniels here have become over bred. They used to be such lovely family dogs; but now you find them meaner.
I thought about getting a Springer. There were two Spaniels at the shelter where I was volunteering, but I ended up with Trent, our Britany. He was a weird one. Spun around to poo like he needed the centrifugal force.
@shalacarter6658 they are definitely unique. When the snow is down, Gladys won't go and poop on the ground at night, she insists of only pooping on the deck. Adelaide always poops right by the garage door, Lucy lays a minefield, Eric has to be secret as does Edward, Swiss and Cheesie always poop in the woods where no one can see them.😅
