This reminds me of a somewhat recent Benny Hinn video where he spoke at length about the struggle people were going through, then at the end he made sure to tell everyone to give so they can receive blessings. He was well dressed, surrounded by nice furniture, and the way he was seated looked like he was reposed on a throne. It was eye-opening how we are oblivious when we create idols and sacrifice our money to them and place our hope and trust in their words… Unnerving!!

I used to work at a detox and know that around the area I work most are drug addicts so I don’t give them money cause I don’t want to feed their habit but I do offer them food and a drink.

I've been blessed to help the poor and by helping the poor. The bible supports this as one of the ways of giving we should be engaged in. It certainly doesn't support preachers beating parishioners up for giving so they can spend on their own lusts. That's why I attend a church that preaches the truth of scripture instead of a materialistic abomination of it!

Scripture is very clear on this matter. Jesus told His disciples that as they travel and spread the message, regardless of how much or how little, they were to accept whatever is offered with a glad heart. Showing love without discrimination, they were to deliver the message with equal zeal to both the haves and the have nots. Accepting all, asking for nothing, He instructed them to not carry a begging bag and to trust that Jehovah Jira would meet their needs. He also instructed that before leaving to the next town, any excess beyond what they needed for food and lodging was to go back to the poor of whatever community they happened to be in at the time. P.S. Here's a little church history trivia. The term "bargain basement" came from early America churches. They stored up donated food, clothing, and household supplies. Any poor person who needed help providing for their family had day and night open door access. The Salvation Army was an extention of that. They started what we now call thrift stores. The proceeds were used to help the needy.
Do not give to the poor but he can take the poor money.. Because most of his congregation are poor people.. I am sure his church is in the poor neighborhood.. May God have mercy upon pastors like him.
The church has to have insurance on the building and the equipment. There's no reason to be begging to rebuild the church. The right insurance will usually cover 125% of the building. It makes no sense. All the extra money they giving the church keeping.

James 2:5 says had not God chose the poor Rich in faith to be heirs to the kingdom of God to those that love him. If a man is called by God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Remember, I say “Called by God.” God in return will finance His ministry. It’s automatic. They won’t have to beg. The people will give. Every Apostle that followed Jesus in the Bible never ever went without. They were blessed beyond measure.
I encourage us to pray for Keon and the rest of those that are in leadership in these churches. Vengeance belongs to God. He will repay those that preach “another Gospel” other than the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He is certainly leading God’s people astray with the doctrine of devils that was preached. If they would only read the Bible for themselves he would be preaching to an empty church

God is absolutely logical. If the prosperity gospel was correct, all Christians would be rich by now, because this isn't new. If all Christians were rich the world would be breaking down the church doors to get theirs. And God would be literally purchasing believers with the benjamins rather than the blood.

I've been blessed to help the poor and by helping the poor. The bible supports this as one of the ways of giving we should be engaged in. It certainly doesn't support preachers beating parishioners up for giving so they can spend on their own lusts. That's why I attend a church that preaches the truth of scripture instead of a materialistic abomination of it!

Very evil preaching ... He’s asking for money to upgrade his church and he’s telling people to not give to the poor? It doesn’t make sense!!! He’s very unforgiving. Jesus gave a whole parable on this issue.
Our Lord and savior is going to do something about it. People have got to wake up and READ YOUR BIBLE AND STUDY IT FOR YOURSELF.
Scripture is very clear on this matter. Jesus told His disciples that as they travel and spread the message, regardless of how much or how little, they were to accept whatever is offered with a glad heart. Showing love without discrimination, they were to deliver the message with equal zeal to both the haves and the have nots. Accepting all, asking for nothing, He instructed them to not carry a begging bag and to trust that Jehovah Jira would meet their needs. He also instructed that before leaving to the next town, any excess beyond what they needed for food and lodging was to go back to the poor of whatever community they happened to be in at the time. P.S. Here's a little church history trivia. The term "bargain basement" came from early America churches. They stored up donated food, clothing, and household supplies. Any poor person who needed help providing for their family had day and night open door access. The Salvation Army was an extention of that. They started what we now call thrift stores. The proceeds were used to help the needy.

The church has to have insurance on the building and the equipment. There's no reason to be begging to rebuild the church. The right insurance will usually cover 125% of the building. It makes no sense. All the extra money they giving the church keeping.

The fact that these prosperity preachers twist the beautiful story of Joseph blows my mind. He literally played on benjimin name with a 100 dollar bill plastered on the screen behind him his true sermon was about money he made it clear physically and metaphorically
It is very very heartbreaking to see a pastor speaking on money and prosperity when it should be about saving Souls where in the last days and the people need to know about the Gospel of Jesus Christ because we know that he is soon to come with all these things that are going on in the world that are being fulfilled in the scriptures and when it comes down to prosperity God will take care of you according to your faith and your obedience to his word God told Joshua in Joshua 1:8 he told him not to let those words leave his lips he said as you meditate on the word day and night do according to what is written and your way will be prosperous and you will have good success. in the Book of Job 36:11 says if they obey him and serve him they shall spend all their days in prosperity and their years and pleasure. James 2:5 says had not God chose the poor Rich in faith to be heirs to the kingdom of God to those that love him. Pray that people start reading for themselves that they want be lead astray like Henderson is doing to them. Pray for him also because he is lost also.
I attended Lighthouse for three years plus. Keion has lost his mind. Just because he’s rich and take money from the members, doesn’t mean you don’t give to the poor.
