Just watched Reach for the Sky with Kenneth More. In the film's first scene he is riding an original one of these (PK 475) which you get a good look at side-on. Sorry to say so, but one of you has the tank decals very slightly wrong, lol. At least, they're slightly different... _yours and his._ Mind you, yours is a damned sight tidier. A real beauty! Just thought you might want to know?

Can anyone tell me why Douglas bikes were so quiet, when so many others of that time, even ones that had exhaust dampers were so much louder?
Like BMW, Douglas extensively used horizontally-opposed twin-cylinder engines. Unlike BMW, this engine sat fore and aft in the frame.
