I was helping a friend get started with POD, and when I saw his first design, I could hear Joe's voice in my head saying that it's too "basic" haha. I told my friend to use more interesting fonts and real illustrations instead of clipart, and even his second draft was already much improved. So, Joe's advice is even helping as a ripple effect through how I help my friend!
This was super insightful! I never realized these common mistakes could lead to such big failures. Definitely going to rethink my strategy now. Thanks for the tips!
I completely understand you Joe and agree. Thank you for this video. One question is that when you first received a positive ROAS did you already have prior purchases on your pixel? or did they all come from ads. Asking because I just ran ads and received zero sales, but i think it was due to the lack of purchase data. I really want to get those first initial sales before launching again. How would go about doing so on 2024.
Hey, Joe … please put up more content about how to actually create those great designs that you are mentioning for us to do. If you could also put up content on how you create your own designs, too, that would be great. Most of us are knowing what not to do, but I would love more content based on what to do for the design process and what you actually do to create the designs that have actually done well. Thanks! 😊
I fall into this category unfortunately (very little sales after 2 months). I know what the issues are but am wondering if its just better to quit and start over since my brand+niche is somewhat hamfisted and does not really fit to any target market.
i have been watching videos about POD, KDP, and printable for years. They all have been saying the same thing that you have. Don't do anything that is trademarked. If your not sure to go research it. Also this topic has been on youtube many times saying their store got shut down because they had trademarked items on it. Also a few months ago there was that one woman that went to I think it was some country singer's Concert and decided to create an Etsy store and still items with his face and name plastered all over them. and the country singer did come to her rescue because she had made national news. I think everyone should be asking the question, how would I feel that some one that I didn't authorize is out there selling merch with me on it and I am not getting a cut of it?
Not so with your own standalone store this is a much different approach than having a throw everything at the wall mentality like if you were selling on Amazon, Amazon, or on Etsy, for example
As long as you have everything organized and categorized correctly and your site looks professional and flows well, it wont matter. It's just easier to build out a niche site with say 15-20 designs and make it look professional than to do that say a site with 5 categories(niches) and needing 15-20 desings per category to make it filled out, flow, and feel as profesional as the niche site. When you advertise you are sending the traffic to a specific product page anyway, sure some might look around, but having multiple categories isn't going to make someone not buy if they really want your product as long as your store is built well.
What do you do when you receive a bad review regarding the size of the shirt? You have a size chart in your listing and return policies that don’t include returns for correctly delivered sizes. So the buyer receives the size they ordered, but they leave a bad review because the size wasn’t suitable.

I may be wrong here but surely the more niches you can cater to the better as long as you have good designs?

Please tell me how it works out for you.
How do I avoid copyright issues if I were to use Google AI from an image and a catch phrase?

Are you talking about if you’re selling on Etsy? I don’t sell on Etsy so don’t have this problem. I’m on my own Shopify store
