- For this I am using a Quest 3, but is possible to do this with any passthrough headsets with SteamVR (Quest 2, Quest Pro, Pico 4, etc)

Just remember, your performance will tank a bit because you are running SteamVR, so for intensive games like MSFS you will have to lower your settings

Great stuff!! Can't wait for this to be a standard feature on all headsets! If it's possible, I'd love to see you drop a green card behind the steering wheel IRL and use that to key out the passthrough box. Then, all you'd see is your wheel and hands, with just the game environment behind it!
That's the dream to do in real-time in the headset but they don't give us direct access to the passthrough camera on standalone headsets to be able to chroma key out parts of the real world, except for the Lynx R1. Maybe if these Reality Mixer / Reality Blender features could be built right into the headset we could accomplish the same thing. They seem to claim privacy concerns on why not to allow direct camera access. But you can do this with tethered pcvr headsets that have color passthrough and the Lynx R1 could if someone bothers to make it happen.
I have Reality Mixer for years (bought if for the Vive Pro1), and didn't know I could use it in beta to access camera feed on my Pico4. This is game changing, many many many thanks for sharing!
how did you manage to enable passthroug in virtuel desktop , mine is greyed out
@@dronemonkey8032 You have to untick the Snapdragon super-resolution option first, then you should be able to select it.

Today there is the possibility of using 3 monitors on Quest 3 through Virtual Destkop, some games like Euro Truck Simulator 2 are poorly optimized for virtual reality, my idea was to use 3 monitors in virtual reality not only with this game

Do I need virtual desktop though? Is there no alternative? I bought reality mixer and it didn't say anywhere I would need to buy another app to use it with my Quest 3
Yes you need Virtual Desktop to use this passthrough feature *
You can try ALVR as an alternative but I have not tested that myself
So I’m having some extreme difficulty with this lol, I get the transparency of the box I set up, but then the entire view also has some see through, idk how to make just the box I make transparent alone, anyone have tips?
@@deejillini2680 that means you didn't pick a good enough color and the screen is bleeding through. Try bright pink or bright green

Hi. I can’t find the beta version. I have tried the versions I see available but all I get is the box with color but no passthrough. How do I get the chroma key beta 1? Thanks.
What beta versions do you see available in the drop down box?
I figured it out. The most recent version is a different one. It was at the top and I got it working. I’m not able to create more than one box though. I can make it but get no pass through on the second box. Is there a trick to make multiple boxes? Also, play assetto and use the purevr PPfilter, but I can’t get it to work without me getting the pass through bleeding in from everywhere. Just figured I’d ask incase you knew a fix. Thanks dude.
Hello, so if reality mixer is launched on steam, this will not prevent me from launching another steam game like ETS 2?

so you dont use virtual destop, boxes only compatible with steam vr? i have a problem wen i run the game in steam vr it showes always the cursos and u cant lock the screan to ur head

Never had much use for it unless im using control cluster boxes. For HOTAS only i just use voice attack, both the x56 and warthog have enough inputs onstick to manage most things.
For that I need a new PC
reality mixer has a cockpit box already setup its much better
That entirely depends on what your cockpit setup is, that cockpit button is just a few boxes to get you started with, kind of like a starting point
