This is a great idea, and definitely agree with you!! It would be helpful if you shared reheating on Thanksgiving day what temperature to set the oven, and for how long etc....
I cook Turkey like this when I cook for large groups. I cut all the turkey off the bone after cooking and use the bones to make stock to reheat with the sliced turkey on Thanksgiving. I also use the stock to make gravy, which I combine with all of the pan drippings. Reheat the turkey and stock low and slow for an hour or so to keep it moist and tender. Reheat to 165.
Yummy definitely gonna do this the day before. Got a a lot of other dishes to make for the turkey day bash as well and it will help out a lot to have it done the day before.
Most people clicking on this link are probably looking for instructions on how to reheat turkey that was cooked the day before, rather than making the turkey from scratch. So I find it baffling that he doesn’t even discuss the temperature to reheat it, the amount of time, whether to put any broth or water in the pan when reheating, and whether to cover the turkey while reheating. Boo
100% agree, thankfully I am not alone at finding this video, the Chef and Journalist who edited it, baffling! Left out the vital ingredient "Viewers : How to reheat it safely to avoid food poisoning!"
😂😂 I agree I need more than salt and pepper lol I always stuff mine with lemon and red onion unfortunately I don’t have lemon this year so it’s just red onion.
But no… The sides are more labor intensive and often taste better the next day. Cook your sides (besides mashed potatoes) the day before. Day of- cook the bird and taters… and reheat the sides while the bird rests. JMO!
@@jordanpaige7329 thank you 🎅🏻👍🏻 this is not mentioned by the so called "Chef" or the Presenters at all, incredibly misleading segment when food poisoning is one of the main dangers of Christmas dinner
@@toneranger I agree, just make sure as soon as its room temp you pop it in the fridge. Once chilled the next day, it's perfect to reheat but only once, carve it and either heat it through in the oven (but I find putting it in the gravy boiling away for a few minutes is better as it keeps the moisture in). The rest carved that hasn't been reheated will be perfectly fine for sandwiches for the next few days 😊 have a lovely Christmas
Did YOU know that it's best to let a Turkey rest for an hour and a half before carving it? I didn't. It sure makes sense and saves time on Thanksgiving day! And you can have that Turkey mess gone before making more of a mess.
I'm sold. Wednesday night turkey cooking for me.
Anticipating this to be a new tradition!

I've done this and it was the best turkey we made.
I felt like I watched 5 hours in 4 minutes. Great video, gonna watch again
Great video how long to reheat and what temp and how to reheat whole turkey
Thumbs up

That is how I do them. I do butter rub before seasonings.
What temperature do you put your oven on for this?
Bird looks like it went ten rounds with Tyson.
I knew I couldn’t be the only one thinking that it bird looks like it went through some things!😂😂😂
This is kickin it! This is the real deal. Do it before and don't stress!
What’s the oven temperature?
thank you chef.
Thank you 💕

Haha I am here curious about that as well
Just "salt and pepper", my ass .....NO SIR.

Potatoes definitely the same day dinner will be served I agree
So you would cook carrots, etc. on the day before? And how would you reheat?
All good info except, for the love of God, WASH YOUR HANDS BETWEEN TOUCHING RAW AND COOKED MEATS.
That's good poisoning waiting to happen
You took the words right out of my mouth
...and that apron? Leaning on the raw meat? No!
The turkey looks dry 😢
CROSS CONTAMINATION!! Dude went from handling a raw turkey to a "fully cooked" turkey with his bare hands without washing.. Are you even a chef?
He's kinda sloppy
It’s better if you cook the turkey 10 -14 hours on 200 degrees 🔥😎
This made no sense at all. Cook it the day before then serve it cold on the day!?
No you pop it in the oven if you want for 10 mins to heat through, or micro. Some people even pop it in with with gravy. Hope this helps.

This may be the worst cooking turkey for thanksgiving video of alltime
