- Join along as we get go the next job only to almost lose both yenko and my self after a manure pit accident. Thankfully for being right there and having help to get me out. Then back to trucking for the next fee days. Thanks for watching along
Some will laugh I am sure but a life ring and a coil of rope mounted between the hydraulic tank and the cab of the Mack would be very cheap insurance. You may never use it but the day you do it could literally be a live saver. Far too many lives lost around slurry/manure pits over the years, you were lucky you had people around you. Glad it turned out ok 🙂
I have seen on utube a couple of manure pits with life preservers and rope on the fence make sense to me Glad Yanko is ok
You Just Can't let your best friend die, God Bless you my friend
Glad you and yankos safe keep up the great work and be careful!
Yenko got manure baptized. Thanks for saving your buddy 👍👍👍
The pits have collected many many lives over the years. I however like you would have gone in to save my own pup or any of my other pets.
So glad that you are both ok!!!
When I was kid growing up in Northern New York. A few kids died drowning in manure pit. Drunk dare to race across. Scary situation. Glad you both made it.
Having been watching for some time Chris, I am struck by several things. The lack of good fencing around pits and that Yenko hasn't ended up in one before. I had a narrow escape when I was a child in an uncovered pit and ended up waist deep in the pit. Taught me a lesson I never forgot. Good job you are both OK and I can see it shook you to the core. Just please be careful.
Thankfully you both are ok. I know you love Yenko like I love mine, I probably would have done the same. God bless 🙌 🙏
You are both very lucky ....God bless you
Farming has lots of dangerous for people and animals. Glad you guys are both safe.
Your doing a good job.
I know exactly what it's like in a slurry pit having been in one myself. I went in after a heifer and my Dad, luckily, was around to pull me out. Glad you are both safe.
the love of a man for his dog ,don't forget that he his a small part of your life ,but for him you are all of his life ,glad you two are ok ,keep on trucking
That is a good idea
Damn dude. My buddy lost his Sheppard in that manner, by the time he got over to him he was long gone. He told me they buried him next to a oak tree near his barn after he could be located when the pit was almost empty. So...bad Yenko...and your a dad now, geez... Keep pumping out great content....alive!
Your a Daddy now so be careful man
Thank God you are both OK! Its a very dangerous stituation! You treat Yanko like family and he is!
Glad yall are ok and keep up the great work Chris
Not going to lie, I was worried, stay safe, both of you, had farmers here died of falling into the manure storage, even dying in silos, so its always something that goes in the back of the mind, phu, again, stay safe
Chris that was so good can't belive yanko went in so sorry glad you got him out and they towed you outstanding.
Glad to hear that yenko and you are safe and everything went good....
Glad you both are ok. You have an awesome sounding truck. I love the older equipment like that. I drive a 2021 mack myself. Keep up the great work and stay safe.
Love the scenery!
Happy for both of you ❤️
Hello Chris I'm truly glad you are safe. That's a pretty dangerous situation. That's an experience I hope you dont have again. Thanks your video have a good day.
Glad you are both safe and alive , that was a scary situation.
How in the world do you loose a Yanko?????????Absoluly hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣Thank god you got him out and your self.
I had to put my yorkie down who was almost 15 years old on april 7th , she had breast cancer and dementia . She started braking like crazy early morning on the 7th and we couldn’t get her stop braking and she almost died in my moms arms . You don’t realize until they’re gone just how much your daily routine revolves around them and when there gone you feel empty inside. It’s worse when they sleep with you and then there gone forever. Cherish every moment you get with Yenko Chris he’s not going to be around forever
Glad you two are okay
Glad you’re ok
Well that was better than a flea dip
So glad you are both Ok,
Glad you and your hound are good.... Had the same kind of pit that saved a deer out of... would have died, but saved her. She was very tired.
Hell of a way to start the day. Glad you’re both alright.
Would've done the same thing dive in for my best friend
Glad you had a good outcome.
That R model Mack is good to you, as long as you do it right my brother
Im glad you and yenko are okey
Happy you are both okay!!!!
Chris, I love your videos 👍🏻
Hi chris many many years ago when loading up slurry out off a open reception pit i lent on the metal fence not realising it had been bent and straightened but it had about snaped in the process so when i leaned on it it snaped i did a complete summersault and landed upto my chin standing on my tiptoes in slurry the other man went for help i was amazed i could hardly lift my arms up out off slurry or walk 20’’ to the ramp i did manage to pull myself out by the bent over fence pole as it was in arms reach
If it was 6” or more deeper i dought i would be here writing this
Thomas in north west uk
Glad you and Yanko are safe and sound. I would have done the same thing.
Mr. Duffy, You and Yanko are far more important than you realize. I am so happy that you guys are good and safe.
We love our dogs.
Good thing you could call for help.
What chucklesx said. A ring of life should be mandatory very close to every manure pit. Thank goodness you were able to get to Yenko when you did. He's a truly good dog and that would be a terrible way to go. I've said it before, but seriously Chris, you have to keep him closer to you and out of harm's way. He's in unfamiliar territory and being curious, he's likely to explore because that's what our dogs do. It's great that he leads a free life, but now that he's older, keep him closer and watch over him as best you can. Not lecturing, but I hope you used this scary experience as a learning one.
Chris, thank God you are Yanko are ok .
I am so sorry Chris that had to be so scary for you both , I cant imagine. That just goes to show you have fast things can go south in a hot New York minute on a farm ! God had ahold of you and Yankco today and I want to give him praise , he gets all the glory all the time !
glad to see you two are ok that would be some scary
Good deal that both of you guys are ok 👍
Thank you for saving the doggie
I am sure happy to hear both you and yenko are fine after that pit mishap. That could have turned out much worse had either of you not gotten out. Good catch Chris, way to keep a close eye on yenko. And no, I'm not being sarcastic.
Close call for you both, glad you’re both ok, thank goodness for the guy that pulled you both out. 👍
Hey Duffy have a great day trucking andbyenko be good no shit swimming
Yenko, Dog what were you thinking, and Chris saving Yenko a UA-cam experience.
Thank God Yanko is OK Andrew too
Poor Yanko it sounded like he was crying when you were first explaining what happened 😢
You mean the constant whining he’s been doing since the first video?
Always nice when you can look back and say that was dumb. I have had my share of manure pit fiasco like you they seem like a good idea at time
I’ve heard of shit happing but this is the first time I’ve seen it before lol glad you and the boy is ok
$$$$$ stumps personel prodject walk.😎😎👍👍
Its a legal requirement in Ireland for them lined pits to have a row of old tyres bolted together as a ladder every few meters along the side.
Nice idea. Impossible to climb out otherwise
Here in my part of Canada it is a law that you must have a fence that will keep all types of humans and animals out of your lagoon at all times. Several farms have been charged with violations of the law.
God was looking out for you two.
Maybe you both need a Life jacket when you're around the pits as a safety precaution. The jacket for you would be the type that inflates when it detects water
Chris back in the day working construction, we were pushed into having a fresh set of cloths on hand . if not two sets. Just a thought for you
It was worth saving yenko
Glad you guys are safe, puts new meaning to the old saying "Shite happens!" Watching your drive through the countyside, I didn't realize that there's that much rural NY state out there. We always think big urban sprawl, when NY is mentioned.
Yeah that's the small part of NY that gives actual NY a bad reputation. Lol
I would have done the same thing. HE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. You would have never forgiven yourself if you hadn't jumped in.
Hope you sat him down and had a good talk with him 😅
The stink will leave, glad you and your four legged partner are OK! Be well Chris!
A friend agitating with a 3pt agitator on a MF 1105 went down with the tractor. Doors closed behind him. Swam out the rear window. He lived. Tractor ran with only the air intake showing. Managed to pull the tractor out. Tractor lived
For better agitation you could put piping in the tank from where your boom nests in transport. Put a 90 and some pipe in the tank. The elbows would keep it from sloshing out as well
Thank God you two are OK. There are a million ways to get hurt or killed farming. May neither of you ever find one of them.
Had a barn cat fall in a concrete walled pit, I'd say 10ft or so from the top. Went to grab stuff to fish it out and when I got back it was gone, figured it dround. Next day or showed up still dirty but looking to get it's milk.
I learned today that the gold bull dogs really means it 100% Mack truck
I was looking searching something online and wondered are there any manuresand seperators in your area. It would be interesting to see it
Things can only get better from there
Are there any manure pits like the ones in the DDR time. They would have concrete pits with pipes and multiple sprayers in it to mix the manure without having to put a pump in it
One the dairy farmer here in NC slide into a .marue pit with a slide steer he die because they had to pump it out to get him. Be careful
There were several men who passed away years ago in Salem. They fell into a manure pump room or covered lagoon I can't remember
I believe it was a barn pit and 3 brothers? One climbed in and the others climbed in trying to save him.
Three brothers died after fumes from a manure pit in western Ohio caused them to pass out. Gary, Todd and Brad Wuebker . very tragic, for a family to lose 3 sons in the same event
@@classicxl that is very tragic.
A lot of people have died in those pits
I always think how horrible a way to go that would be when I walk by one
Glad you and Yanko are both ok, Chris. I know we will do very dangerous stuff when it comes to our pets. I jumped in front of a big truck one day when my pup ran out the door when someone came in. He ran straight to the road and that truck was coming fast and hard. I didn’t even think about it and jumped in and saved my dog. The truck went in the ditch. Keep up the great work and have a great weekend!!
That’s only because you do whatever if it’s a human. NEVER endanger yourself for an animal
an old friend died in a pit a decade and a half ago. skid steer fell in with him in it
Should put cbs in all the trucks
VHF radios only one problem everyone has to be on board
Get him a vet check up
death waiting at every corner on any farm
Phew. Glad the worst did not happen.
Well i'll be dipped in shit !!! That brings back memories, when i was a little kid i got stuck up to my waist in a manure pile, I wasn't in danger but had to be helped out.
The person that asked if yanko ever went in a pit put a jinx on you
1st
I would have done the same thing
So it's poop quicksand? God that would be a horrible way to go.
I would’ve done the same thing
Lol he is a bluey
Why don't you rig up a hose with a nozzle and run it off of spreader port on the back of your tank and you could wash that sand and crap to the back of the tank. Just a thought.
Your lucky to be alive Chris, had you been alone you would both be dead.
Yenko, WTF? 🤦♂️
Dogs love rolling around in shit just usually it's not a pit of it 😂
So many children have been killed by effluent ponds. Very dangerous indeed.
GPS still works on a cellphone w no signal…js
Agitated
Yanko smelling nothing but shit for the rest of the day 😂
Guy drowned in a manure lagoon here 20 years ago when he fell in impossible to get yourself up.out of that.
Kids will always get you into some shit
