Nice video
Thank you 🙏🏽
Beautiful bro🔥
Thanks 🔥
there is so few coverage of the ve engines. which is crazy considering they were the best n/a 4 cylinders from the 90s
That’s kinda the reason why I’m doing this. There’s soo much more to this video but life and budget gets in the way. I’ll do another soon.
Did you ever film any more on the build?
Not yet. Been waiting almost a year to get my engine finished off. Called them this morning and they’re going to do the shims for me soon and degree everything. I’m also waiting for these guys to fix some welds I did on the 180SX but should all come together very soon.
hey mate, very nice vid, im about to build my 20ve as well and wondering where you got the torques specs? if you dont mind sharing it that would be much appreciated…… thanks
@marcferrer1333 Hey mate, I got all the torque settings from the fsm or if it was specifically specified that’s what I used. Most of the manuals are online or I posted them in the video.
@@AdamNZ are you able to point me to a link, ive been looking online and i cant download anything……
@@marcferrer1333I’ve got all the manuals on my phone. I literally just downloaded them but if you get stuck find my email address and reach out or on IG.
@@AdamNZ bro what your email?……..
@marcferrer1333 you can find it on my main page on here?
Is it difficult to install the oil pump after torquing the head down ?
@M Wall I’m going to re-assemble the engine all together after the next video is uploaded. It’s a bit of a process with degreeing the camshafts and didn’t want it to be super long. But the next video will be either episode 2 or I’ll re-upload this one with the extra content?
@@AdamNZ oh nice, i see
Are you going to use the cam home/sync hall sensor?
@E H Yup I am going to be using the home kit that bolts to the cam as I’ve already got the crank trigger kit.
@@AdamNZ Do you know if you need to clearance the internal valve cover “ribs”? I bought a used p11 valve cover and it had had the internal ribs for the valve cover in that area ground down, which I assumed was to clearance the metal arm you attach to the cam gear for the sensor.
@E H I don’t I have to. The cam gear and chain are taller than the home kit I’m pretty sure. I can confirm on the next video?
is it a p11 head? and i was wondering how to source the fsm for torque specs. i have a p12. Thank you!
@Devin Zwe it is P11. The specs are out there, I got mine just from doing searches.
is this using the s13 block?
Yeah it is. Could’ve just used a DE block as well.
oh cool so they dont have to run the vct blocks then thats great!
thanks bro@@AdamNZ
@huntergill4945 you actually can use them but have extra things to block up. I know Hans Ruiterman has adapted the VCT onto the VE Head. They weld them on.
