Buck was also a booker in a few spots. He had the book in San Antonio and Houston, but got canned in Houston because Bruiser Brody (who Buck brought back) refused to wrestle Hacksaw Duggan one night at the Coliseum. They had a storyline going where Hacksaw blinded Bruiser (allowing Bruiser to go to Japan for a tour) but on hi first night back to face Duggan, Bruiser (wearing goggles) had a burr in his saddle and sat down in the ring and wouldn't work. Buck (managing Duggan) was begging Bruiser to fight (even calling him "Frank" in trying to get him to work). Eventually Buck told Hacksaw to attack and get the pin.
