07-11-2024 Fort Worth, TX - Male killed in Semi Rollover

At 4:46pm Thursday after Fort Worth North Division officers where dispatched to the 400 block of Avondale Haslet rd for a semi roll over. Fort Worth Fire along with Haslet fire and Tarrant County Sheriff's deputies also responded to the scene. When crews arrived they found a rock hauling semi on it's side and partial on its roof. Crews advised of heavy entrapment of the driver and only occupant of the vehicle and called for careflite. A short time later the driver was declared deceased and careflite was canceled. The area was closed for several hours as crews worked to removed the deceased male from the vehicle and for tow trucks to remove the semi from the road way. FWPD TIU detectives determined speed around the turn was the cause of the fatal accident. At this time the Tarrant County Medical Examiner has yet to identify the deceased.

I have known the driver for over 45years. Really saddens my heart to know this happened. He and his family have my Deepest Condolences...😢
