I attempted to play Rimworld with an insane zombie mod. I had a lot of fun building the perfect little colony to protect against the apocalypse. I also replaced my dog's legs with sticks and every single person was eaten alive. Anyway, follow me on Twitch :p

its the one reason I can't watch his more complicated gameplays, I understand and respect the no-backseating and stuff, but it's not just watching someone cut a board the wrong length, it's watching someone about to cut their fingers off on a table saw, watching them actually cut their fingers off, then watching them immediately go at it with their other hand, then watching them lose that hand, then watching them go at it with the thumb and stump of their first hand

PAIN
Ironhead's death was unironically badass. Watched half the people of his colony die (including the 8 year old kid), the survivors are cornered and on their last legs... so he just says fuck it and walks out into the horde, all the zombies swarm him and are led away from the others. All the while he doesn't even look back.

Well.. Most shit (like furniture and stuff) are square... SO yo be efficient with space, you have to build squares

As soon as he was like "we're clear of Zombies for two whole days" and proceeded to mutilate the shit out of the dog instead of fortifying the base, we all knew it was over XD
He could make defensive positions around the base so he couldn't be that overwhelmed for the zombies, also making a tunnel inside the mountain to a panic room could be a good option

This game has so many chaotic components of carnage I love it nearly as much as awesome alliteration.
His game has been heavily modded tho, not as chaotic in vanilla haha

Its funny how Charborg hasn't learned how zones works yet, also the zombie mod is almost impossible to survive unless your already mid game, if you try to start out with it, and dont put a cap or toggle what zombies can spawn it will always end roughly a couple months in most especially because of the juggernaut zombies but the suicide ones are even more ridiculous, plus the slime zombies make cleaning impossible, and electic ones can't even be shot...all together it makes for impossible odds.
Tunnel traps mod, spike traps, and beta traps that you can rearm with a service tunnel, Makes early game easier and late game really simple with turrets.
What zombie mod is this? I've been trying to find it but so far I've found 2 others that look nothing like it.

Don't forget albino zombies and the fact that armored zombies will attack doors/walls, and albinos try to ignore your colonists and bust your machines
I remember when I was chilling, was a naked brutallity zombie run, I set it to pretty difficult, we were chilling. There was a big risk increase, but nothing I couldn't handle, had walls, guns, etc. But then a horde of 200 ish spawned, already 100 zombies on the map. Spread out? It would be alright. All in the same place? They climbed the walls, distracting us and weakening us, whilst the other zombies broke down the walls, then as they all entered the base I hid, moved from building to building as each got overrun, eventually 3 people were bit, 2 of them I saved by cutting off their limbs, the other had a mental break then died. the one good person alive had to leave them, too many zombies surrounded the infirmary, was impossible to escape, so the one person left had to watch everyone else die, and evacuate, made a new settlement, turns out that didn't go too well either.

With the possibile exception of the kid getting eaten like that, this is literally how all zombie movies are.
A band of dumbasses barely attempt to survive against the undead horde, most of the time doing things that draw them in more like stargazing right next to the rickety gate in view of a ton of zombies, or arguing and yelling near the wall so more zombies come and mess it up later.
Then there's a big breach that they did almost nothing to prepare for and a bunch of people die horribly because they were busy being needlessly stupid or having the spatial awareness of a banana.
The few people left attempt to escape, the woman causes drama by pointlessly arguing with the guy trying to actively fend off the zombies, one of them is on his last legs and just wanders away to go die, the other two barely make it out and then die in a futile last stand against the zombies.
Only difference here is that Charborg only killed 10, if this was a real zombie movie then they'd have killed loads more, but there'd also be more as well. So like killing maybe 100 out of 1000 zombies or something. I guess if you account for that and pad it out this is like 90-99% of zombie related media.
I mean sure you could relate it to most zombie movies and the typical genre which just plays out poorly for all the protagonists but I think that mainly falls on how basic he played it, the most common strategy in the game and basically in real life is to find or create a fortified structure and then make a way of keeping alive inside the structure like in-house farming.
This method guarantees survival in the case of global extinction allowing survivors to live away from danger indefinitely
The thing is he didn’t do it that way instead opting to play the game normally and believe the zombie hordes wouldn’t attack if there was a wall which in hindsight could’ve worked if you didn’t make doors that you were never going to use.
Really survival is all about micromanagement, planning and ensuring your colony stays away from danger and survives the natural forces the basic gist of this game
Content comes first, but I’ve never seen such terrible choices, and it’s the perfect storm for a mod thats impossible to survive.

You know, I think the mistake here was using the short time with zero zombies to replace a dogs limbs with peg legs instead of expanding the defenses
