Amazing song, fantastic vocals, welcome to the family! Stay alive and kill some zombies and I hope to see you in the next song! Also the emotion in the song is god tier
THIS SONG SLAPS, like ugh that feeling of hearing her call out over and over again just makes you feel that utter desperation and when she finally does hear someone its an improbable meeting that blows her away at the sheer improbability, but as soon as it goes away the desperation grows even more to the point she's pleading for something, anything. I LOVE IT
Definitely. Personally I’m thinking this might be Samantha Maxis in the dark ether, trying to contact Requiem and eventually getting through to someone else (possibly Richthofen given the ‘are you the one from my dreams’ plus he did take over the dark ether connection branch) and the connection is cut later, with Sam possibly thinking they were afraid of her after she showcased her full powers in Cold war’s final boss.
My first listening wasn't too promising, but subsequent listening later I feel like this song is absolutely fantastic. I really love Megan Rice's vocals. I hope she gets to come back for a future collaboration.
I absolutely love this song, it fits Terminus so well and sounds like a perfect mix between Dead Flowers, Where are we Going and Always Running. We are truly back!
I will tell you this right now: This song has only been on UA-cam for 8 hours and I have listened to it easily 25+ times. I love it. It exceeded my expectations.

I can't help but feel that this song is actually Samantha in the Dark Aether. It's easy to assume it's for the Terminus Crew since they're stuck on the island prison, but the sinister and ominous tone makes me think otherwise 😅

Might be she was trying to reach Requiem but eventually got through to Richthofen, hence the surprise when she realised it was someone from the station, and especially later the “are you the one from my dreams” bit.

Oh boy. Kevin has for more than half my life has been creating such wonderful masterpieces since i first heard about him in WAW Zombies. Megan Rice sounds amazing and I will be looking into her much more now that Ive heard her. Kevin, Please, you have inspired so much in me and many others. Gonna be real, didn't care for it at first, but it's really grown on me. Has the feel of an isolated signal operator at the end of the world, protocol and professionalism giving way to emotions and desolation. Just wish there was a stronger chorus, but I get that's likely the point.
Song does a good job at portraying the feeling and message of being stuck on an overrun island. Really like it. Could also be interpreted as Sam calling from the dark aether I supposed.
This song is perfect: it recalls the the sinister environment of the map, and it has a catchy melody that becomes a fury on the last part. But above all, the lyrics and rhythm perfectly illustrate the thoughts of the protagonist who sings: Maya's brother Nathan. There are 4 distinct phases in this song, corresponding to 3 stages of the secret. These phases are reminiscent of the evolution of a serious illness, the after-effects of which are felt by Nathan through his past torture. The first phase is calm and illustrates Nathan's despair. The victim of a dehumanizing experience, he loses all bearings, agonizes in solitude and in the hope that a being, if not a deity, will free him from his torment and suffering. He continually asks the question: "Can you hear me?" followed by "Come in", as if on the lookout for a liberating love. He also wonders about the mysterious rescuers who seem to know his name. At this point, Weaver's team sets out to find Nathan. They follow the secret and eventually obtain an employee's badge followed by Nathan's location, in the biolabs. Nathan can certainly hear them from his cell. The second phase accelerates as Nathan's hope is revived. He no longer questions himself, but says "I know you can hear me". The team find Maya's brother in a compartment. They witness the horror of the scene: Nathan is in great pain. The team slip away to actively track down the cell code. The song speeds up, giving details of the prisoner's captivity: haunted by loneliness and death, he receives an energy boost when he sees the team and his sister. Nevertheless, Nathan's thoughts seem uncertain about his intentions and reveal a very tragic reality: "I need somebody there, Somebody who Cares, someone like me Somewhere. I can't let it go [...] It's all a part of me". His emotions build up to phase 3 of the song. Phase 3 marks Nathan's climax and successive decline. The team frees him and realizes it's too late. Maya's brother is an amalgam: Nathan is no more than the host of a monstrosity. His feelings are mixed in proportion to the number of heads interfering with his thoughts. This collection of brains, of contradictory thoughts, will drown Nathan's reason and drive him into madness to the relentless rhythm of the song. Love for his sister, hope for his saviors are transformed into hatred, anger and sadness. All these emotions succeed one another and become one: the character goes mad and is no longer in reality. His primal instincts take over, and he must satisfy his hunger by attacking the team of his dreams. This third phase is marked by the lyrics "Do you fear me now ?" The song takes on a demented, panic-inducing rhythm that's in total sync with Nathan's aggravating madness. You get the impression of hearing several voices, as if the parasites of the amalgam were speaking at the same time as Nathan. He insists on ordering the team to come to him, both to devour him and to help him. He repeats his loneliness and his request over and over as Weaver and his team flee and attack the creature from a distance. This frenetic sequence leads to the terminal phase of Nathan's illness, which ends with his execution. It is marked by the last few seconds when the protagonist repeats "Come in", the melody becoming heavy, resonant, suffocating. It ends with a brief "Come in", a climax with the last music note sounding like a gunshot, the one that will put an end to Nathan and the song. Thank you for taking the time to read my interpretation of this song. I think Kevin put a lot of thought into getting the right rhythm, making it adhere to the map and the first stages of the secret (which seemed to be the last according to the basic objective of this Map).
So happy to have Kevins music back. Now crossing my fingers that Elena returns and perhaps a new Avenged Sevenfold song. Even if that doesn't happen, I'm happy with this. Thanks Kevin for the many years of bangers you've given us, you are a major piece of what makes Zombies amazing.

I get the appeal of Something Beautiful but this one hits so well if used right. Our group randomly activated it right during round 25 when we had all the pre-boss steps done and we were setting up for the finale. The slower pace and vibe of a constant buildup actually elevated that moment because it was exactly what we were going through. The setup before the final stand. We ended up failing that attempt but that moment was still fantastic.

Liberty Falls one is quite nice but this is astonishingly good, the fact that you introduce mini "easter eggs" from other maps song is really nice, it makes it feels like it's all interconnected. Great job like always!!
I feel like that might foreshadow something later for the series. I'm more than willing to bet we see Alcatraz once more for BO6. Especially with the Forsaken's vision of things to come showing a fragment of one of the cells with the Terminus crew...
Dude you have no clue how good it is to have you back! I like amoeba as much as the next guy but you are the Artist for Zombies. Anyone who works with you seem to discover completely different sounds to themselves that they never knew they had. Megan's vocals are beyond perfect for the vibe of the map I found it on! In my opinion, aside from written lyrics, Kevin's work has only gotten better and better with time. I'm saying this as someone who has literally played COD zombies since playing split screen with my dad at age 4, his work still astonishes me.
One of my favorite parts about these songs are the spacing and timing of syllables in the vocals. One of my favorites is Shockwave because of that. Love the instrumental parts too.

Liberty Falls one is quite nice but this is astonishingly good, the fact that you introduce mini "easter eggs" from other maps song is really nice, it makes it feels like it's all interconnected.
Great job like always!!
please put this in Spotify
Need this on Spotify
YES
ksherwoodops never misses
Hearing this in game is sooo good. Matches the vibe of the map perfectly
2:33 reminds me of Where Are We Going from MOTD
Gives me buried vibes tbh
I feel like that might foreshadow something later for the series. I'm more than willing to bet we see Alcatraz once more for BO6. Especially with the Forsaken's vision of things to come showing a fragment of one of the cells with the Terminus crew...
I'm so happy to see you working with Malukah too!!! So many great talents. WE'RE SO BACK!!!!! 🤘💕🔥🤘💕🔥
This has callbacks to that little radio you'd knife to activate on Nacht der Untoten on CoD World at War. Kevin you are incredible man! ♥
EE songs are nothing without you. You capture the vibes so well man.
Soo good give that old school zombies vibe hard it also reminds me of one of those subnatica below zero songs
I was surprised to see new vocalists for this and liberty falls' song but they both killed it! can't wait to hear your work for the rest of the game!
It's EXACTLY the zombie atmosphere, reminds me of Buried
Dude you have no clue how good it is to have you back! I like amoeba as much as the next guy but you are the Artist for Zombies. Anyone who works with you seem to discover completely different sounds to themselves that they never knew they had. Megan's vocals are beyond perfect for the vibe of the map I found it on! We Are Not Worthy!
Don't think we didn’t notice that reprisal of Shockwave for the intro. Brilliant work.
In my opinion, aside from written lyrics, Kevin's work has only gotten better and better with time.
I'm saying this as someone who has literally played COD zombies since playing split screen with my dad at age 4, his work still astonishes me.
THEY ADDED IT TO SPOTIFY. THANK YOU!!!!
But not Apple Music? :(
@@mrvgoat1294It’s on iTunes from what I’ve heard.
Glad to see you're still making music for the games! Your work makes every map better.
return of the king, baby
One of my favorite parts about these songs are the spacing and timing of syllables in the vocals. One of my favorites is Shockwave because of that. Love the instrumental parts too.
WE ARE GETTING DR MODI WITH THIS ONE🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️🔊🔊🔊🔊🔥🔥🔥🔥
when on spotifyyyy
THANK YOU KEVIN SO MUCH FOR THIS MASTERPIECE❤🎉
