"Death is magic. Say Abracadavre now." Genius line. "Abracadavre" is a combined word of abracadabra which means magic and cadaver which means human corpse. Put them together, and you get Magic Corpse. So you could use the word "Abracadavre" to described CoD Zombies.

Ok so the answer to the first riddle is: Shadow And the answer to the second one is: Nothing Shadow, Nothing Sound familiar? No? How about now? Shadow, Nothing All I am Stalking, Killing All I can If you dont recognise it yet, it is the easter egg song for BO2 Zombies Tranzit
I love you guys. You. Every single one of you that picked me up, raygun or not. Everyone who stopped the monkeys from stealing jug and quick revive. Everyone that tried to clutch save and died along the way. We may never know each other's names, we may never know each other's fates, but we know that we all played the best games. Semper Fi.
So quick question is there a version without having the creepy part, because I love the song but it feels wierd when I hear that alien voice and instrumental ?
“Is all the pain just inside my head” “Death is magic say abracadabra now. You see me now you don’t cry when I am gone” Those lines hit different when you have depression
The years of playing this game with friends and family has come to a close. We have made a lot of memories with this game, and while I am definitely saddened to see this era close, I am thankful for the many years of enjoyment I experienced. I played BO1 since it's release and there has never been a series I have enjoyed more. As Steve Blum said in his last interview saying goodbye, "One last time... URAH". Goodbye all my friends I met with this game. May our paths cross again
I love how the lyrics almost shifts tone part way through the song. During the beginning of the song the lyrics of: "I don't feel but I am real, but I know it's all imaginary" it carries this almost sad, negative tone to it. But after: " These shackles they come, With certain opportunity. They won't let me get away, But they show me we're the same, We're the same, We're the same, They show me that we are the same. I can't give in I won't give in It's not a state of mind I'm wretched but I'm powerful" the same lyrics from before takes a more positive tone. Instead a tone of depression, it has a tone of empowerment. Truely a fantastically sung and written song.
A lot happened in my life lots of downs bad times and the part where she says I’m wretched but I’m powerful it’s the good comebacks in life that happened to me. I kinda look at it more that just a video game song when the lyrics have such a story type feel to it
Does anyone else feel like they entered a time machine when they listen to this song? I instantly feel like I'm back in the 2010-2011 bo1 era whenever I play this song. It's a masterpiece and a song I consider a product of its time that still holds up even after the thousandth time I've played it.
The answer to each riddle is, respectively: *A shadow* “Dress yourself in black, my darkness lasts; I flee the light, but without the sun, your view of me would be gone.” *Nothing* “I am what men love more than life, fear more than death or mortal strife; what dead men have and rich require, I’m what contented men desire” And then these are brought up again in the song Carrion: “Shadow, nothing, all I am” Really excellent lyric writing if I say so myself.
It really was I miss those times just playing zombies with dad as well as playing solo and online I had so much fun with others and I even made friends I miss those friends
With the exception of Archangel and Rusty Cage/Where Are We Going, the songs in BO2 were crap... I might be generous and squeeze in Always Running as well.
My interpretation of this song and the other 3 Bo1 songs composed by Kevin Sherwood are that they are sung by Samantha herself and reflect the different sides of her character. 115 is her desire for revenge against Richtofen and to see the world burn. Abracadavre is an identity crisis from her newfound power to control the zombies and how she doesn't feel like herself (or real) anymore. Pareidolia is her talking about how the only people left in her life are the zombies, and how she no longer has anybody who truly cares (note the song is named after an optical illusion called the "Pareidolia Effect" where your brain is tricked into seeing an image that isn't there, and I interpret this as Sam thinking the zombies are "false friends" who have "paper smiles"). Coming Home is about Sam remembering her promise to her father and her desire to go back to a normal life.
Makes sense! I headcanon that all the zombies stuff in general is just Samantha and Eddie playing with their toys. It's true with Origins, but I also apply it with the later suckier maps. They're just kids! And maybe their story should've died a while back, but they still wanted to keep it going and introduce all the cool things they saw like aliens from comic books or dragons from fairy tales. I mean, when you've got something good, wouldn't you want it to last forever?
Hands down the hardest and most meaningful hidden song in Bo1, This brings back so many memories. The drums, Guitar, and Elena all synchronized so perfectly together. Brings tears, Bo1 will forever be my fav cod for zombies and most memorable. So many memories come with it. 115, Annihilation, Abracadavre make me remember so many badass clutches in Der Riese, Kino, and Ascension. Aghh fuck... Brings chills
Glad to see I'm not the only one who replays to 3:37 😁 Man, all the memories playing this game. Learning the strats and how to avoid getting downed trying to get past 50 zombies in tight spaces. I miss those days, but I am glad to be able to listen to the music whenever I want to.

man they be putting the same ass shit in here all the sound tracks are old and they copied the map off of Der rise the giant and I think there just putting the same ass shit over and over which is so stupid
+Armando Perez First off the beginning part of this song is the same melody used in "dammed" the zombies main menu track. It has two more version called "dammed 2" and "dammed 3". You think the zombies community would be happy if this song were to be changed. Probably not. Also there hasn't been one zombies song i personally haven't liked. Oh and they didn't copy Der Riese, the map 'The Giant" is der riese. it was a fan favorite so they brought it back. plus it has a whole new story line with it.
What a song and map, perhaps the most hyped I’ve ever been for a zombies map tbh. It isn’t even my fav map I just remember skipping school and staying up late for this one.

+Yoshix Gaming Same for you guys, too? Yeah whenever the easter egg songs play I am always basically an invincible terminator who cannot be stopped by the silly zombies.
Oh Ascension, how Iove thee. Call of the Dead and Ascension are my favorite maps from Black Ops. Loved them. Just wish Call of the Dead was a tad bit more related to the story. They kind of just plopped the original 4 into a locked room and added some amusing dialouge.
+Kevin Hale if you do the easter egg you actually get the golden rod which is essential for richtofens plan on moon. it was important to the main story
I just realized after 12 years "Abracadavre" is a play on the word "Abracadabra", obviously; but "cadavre" means corpse. "Abra" is derived from the Hebrew word "Bara", meaning "I will create". So, as concerning to etymology, "Abracadavre" means something along the lines of "I will create corpses". A clever play on words. Makes you wonder what other messages they've hidden in these songs...

"Death is magic. Say Abracadavre now." Genius line. "Abracadavre" is a combined word of abracadabra which means magic and cadaver which means human corpse. Put them together, and you get Magic Corpse. So you could use the word "Abracadavre" to described CoD Zombies.

The good ole days
I miss the good old days of loading up acension back in 2010 and playing till like round 40 on a warm summer night with the front door open and the crickets chirping just to have the game end cause the one random kid lived in a different timezone and had to end it to eat diner but was host so you send out the gg friend requests knowing full well that you'll never play again and that within time, the names of the people you shared two hours of your life with would become a blur, a memory, a vocabulary word only known as "nostalgia".
Cod was the biggest part of my childhood, I got Mw2 when I was 6 then bo1 at Christmas the year it came out and now I'll be 17 years old this year and can't help wonder where the time went. Thank you treyarch and the many forgotten players for making my childhood

tbh I remember playing this game when I was 7 years old with my best friend and sometimes with my older brother. Now I'm 17 and sometime I wish I could go back to experience that again. Earlier this year my best friend thought he was better without me and my older brother is soon going to be 25 and even if I'm becoming an adult I'm still disconnecting further and further away from him to the point that I barely know him anymore and he barely even knows me.
@@unjustifiedcorruption748 Now’s the time to rekindle the flame. Pick up BO3 or hell dig up BO1, go visit him, and down a couple brewskis while killing some goddamned Nazi Zombies. Life’s not gone, it’s just moving forward. That doesn’t mean you can’t make new memories through old means though. Good luck Saint ⚜️
I’m talking about your brother btw
@@stereoscream6222 thanks, tbh even if we have been disconnected for while recently he has been amazed with me. He said he is going to be visiting a bit more often, which is pretty nice honestly and we've been playing games together whenever he shows up. The reason why he is amazed with me recently is because lately for a while my family thought I was just going to be lazy and do nothing with my life but I dropped a big bomb on my family telling them how right now I'm making my own book series, making music for my own series and a rpg game and how I've been making artwork of my 90+ characters and how I'm saving up money to get action figures of them. Tbh my family was really shocked about all of it because I never showed them anything about it until 3 days ago and now my family has been really interested in it and my brother would sometimes come talk to me just to see how well its going.
@@unjustifiedcorruption748 That’s awesome! Keep up that ambition! It's hard to believe it's been 11 years. The memories of playing this game for hours everyday, with friends that I haven't spoken to in years. BO1 and BO2 will always have a special place in my heart. Between the countless hours of trying to get to higher rounds and the dumb banter between friends. Listening to any of the songs from the games/maps brings all those memories start flooding back and brings a tear to my eye from the countless hours of good times that have passed. I wish I could go back and relive it all again, and I know I'm not the only one that feels this way either.
I love this comment
A lot happened in my life lots of downs bad times and the part where she says I’m wretched but I’m powerful it’s the good comebacks in life that happened to me. I kinda look at it more that just a video game song when the lyrics have such a story type feel to it

The more I read the lyrics, I do not think there is positivity. I wonder what the song is about.
Does anyone else feel like they entered a time machine when they listen to this song? I instantly feel like I'm back in the 2010-2011 bo1 era whenever I play this song. It's a masterpiece and a song I consider a product of its time that still holds up even after the thousandth time I've played it.

“Dress yourself in black, my darkness lasts; I flee the light, but without the sun, your view of me would be gone.”
*Nothing*
“I am what men love more than life, fear more than death or mortal strife; what dead men have and rich require, I’m what contented men desire”
And then these are brought up again in the song Carrion:
“Shadow, nothing, all I am”
Really excellent lyric writing if I say so myself.

+Spikey waw and bo1 were the classics
This brings back memories, those 5 hour late night games trying to reach round 50 with my friends. Them feels :´)
omg i know how you feel! :D but those days are over :(

Yeah true, I absolutely hate screaming in music but it works so well with zombies in context.
+TheSpinkinator Uk I love screaming, but, the song it's ok, so many clean vocals
+taylor scott I love metalcore, so this is perfect for me.
+TheSpinkinator Uk i love the screams and metal
best kind of metal is thrash, stuff like slayer or megadeth
Playing this while playing zombies makes you invincible lol
lol true
I become the terminator when I listen to the easter egg songs for the maps
***** same
+Yoshix Gaming Same for you guys, too? Yeah whenever the easter egg songs play I am always basically an invincible terminator who cannot be stopped by the silly zombies.

My favourite zombies track. Really like the slight symphonic metal feel to it.
The nostalgia is real

Man black ops was one of the best online games I ever played legit. So many memories
the nostalgia with ascension and kino der toten...
I feel you :(
Oh Ascension, how Iove thee.
Calikid331 i know but for now i'm still trying to do the call of the dead easter egg... is so much complicated
