Iv bought LexTec a few times and theyre a cracking quality pipe.. The only problem with claimed lifetime warranty is.. If it lasts three years the manufacturer claims well thats its lifetime.. Good video man..
Triumph have had this same problem with many of the Tiger models going back to 2012!! Typical of Triumph to not sort the issue in 12 years!! I'd never have another one!
Sounds lovely mate! Good stuff! On my last bike Honda NC700X, I've fitted K&N air filter, Black Widow de-cat manifold and GR Moto silencer. The sound was mental. On my current bike BMW F800GT I've fitted Delkevic silencer (for just £130 I can't complain, nice sound and excellent build quality). I'm hoping Triumph Tiger 1050 will be my next bike.
Haha I bet that was loud enough 😂. Yes thats the other option for this bike is a Delkevic they do quite a few silencers. The 1050 is a lovely bike you’ll love it
Hey mate! Great video! Just about to do the same on my 2013 You don’t happen to know the part code for the exhaust studs??? I’ve looked on all the usual websites and can’t find it 🙄
@@bigcatdiaries568 i believe the part number is t3100015. If you go on world of triumph parts select your bike then go to cylinder head and valves ignore the diagram but scroll down they will be listed in there somewhere. Hopefully this helps👍🏻
i thought lextek were a british company in fact i am sure they are they might be owned by Chinese but i am sure they manufacture over here in Exeter and a tip for doing the header bolts is once there loose back them off then back and forth with going a tiny bit more each time when loosening with plenty of wd40
i think you might be right mate but I'm sure its a chineseum metal they use so that's kind of why i referred to it as that. but honestly i think they are cracking exhaust for the money you cant beat it.
@@chrisgreenwood271 yes that is definitely something to take into account. but there are a few on the tiger forum with cracked headers still. But definitely not as bad as the non sport

That engine sounds sweet mate!
Had to change my downpipes for the last MOT on my 1200 and bought the Lextech kit. Love the sound on it. Ride Safe 🏍️💨

Please go and get the bike remapped, now you’ve removed the cat it will need an ECU tune to keep the engine safe
The O2 sensor is before the Cat anyway so it really isn’t going to make any difference
@@DGMotorcycles Tune ECU...search the forum...
Isn't the ecu locked on the later model Tiger sports
@@Dustystubeyeah it is
@@DGMotorcycles so any "tuning" will be done by the ecu after an adaptation
good vid
Thankyou
Common problem, it bloody well not be, I had to change the rad on mine on a five year old bike, that was a piss take to say the least.
I just changed the rad on mine aswell thats when I noticed the crack on the downpipe😢
@@DGMotorcycles wasn't yours in an accident though

Only ever put exhaust putty on the male end of exhaust.
