I dont think you need to redefine marriage, it is proven to be a bedrock of safe civil communities. having a mother and a father in the home is the greatest determiner of successful children. ie finish school, get a job get married. not do drugs and go to prison etc the spiritual reality is that it is a foundation of civilization. not that you have to try to make it something more than what it is.
