- How Conte’s 3-5-2 at Inter Milan could end Juve’s Dominance in Serie A in Tactics Explained. The Italian tactician was made Inter Milan coach in June and with a financial backing bringing in Nicolo Barella, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Diego Godin and Stefano Sensi - you’d expect Inter to seriously challenge for the series A and a strong start to the season with a 100% winning streak, shows how serious Antonio Conte’s side are about bringing silverware back to the San Siro.
Let’s look at Inter Milan’s summer signings and how they fit into Antonio Conte’s system. Inter Milan broke their club record signing, by bringing in Belgium international Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United, for a reported transfer fee of £74 million. After Conte failed to land Rom at Chelsea, he made it clear that he was a priority signing in the summer transfer window, Lukaku has had a decent start to the season - scoring three goals in his first five Serie A, but he hasn’t totally stepped his game up from his time at united. Sensi & Brozovic have both managed more shots per game in Serie A - both playing from midfield. Lukaku has yet to manage a shot in the six yard box in Serie A this season too, but with already being on three goals and scoring a vital goal in his first Milan Derby, the only way is up for the goal scoring Belgium international.
Inter Milan managed to bolster their attack with Alexis Sanchez, on loan deal from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United. The Chilean international had a disappointing spell at Old Trafford, but he’s already looked to revive his career, scoring a goal on his first Inter start - where he also picked up a red card. Conte will certainly look to fit him in a front two alongside either Argentine international Lautaro Martinez or Romelu Lukaku.
Stefano Sensi & Nicolò Barella have arguably been I Nerazzurri’s best additions to Antonio Conte’s side. Stefano Sensi has been involved in five goals for Inter in the Serie A, three goals & two assists - contributing to the most goals for Inter Milan in the league and averaging a staggering goal involvement per game. Nicolo Barella has also impressed, the Italian international managed two assists in his three Serie A games this season and looks like he could be partnering Stefano Sensi in midfield in the long-term with both loan deal most likely to be turned permanent. Both Italian maestros could keep that partnership in the Italian national team under Roberto Mancini and that will only translate into a better fit for Conte’s traditional 3-5-2.

Conte built current Juventus, he is building another side to topple Juventus that he built.
he didn't build the current Juve squad... but he started the Juve seria A domination... Only Bonnuci and Chielin are still there from Conte Juve era... you can't count Buffon he's not no 1 anymore. Allegri has brought in some amaizing talents. and Inter squad is not that great compares to Juve. Juventus can play their B team and still finnish second in the league...

I quite like 3-5-2 because you have a solid defence of three central defenders, three central midfielders which is key to modern football so you don’t get out numbered in midfield. You have width with the wing backs that can drop into defence, then instead of having a lone, isolated striker you have a classic two strike partnership, which is rare these days. I love a front two there’s nothing more that I like to see in modern football than a front two of equal talent who can link up well and create chances for each other running the channels etc etc.
Can totally see Manchester United fans coming here, getting all their knowledge about Conte from one video and then writing threads on twitter how will they win the Premier League with Conte.
As a Juventus fan i always said Conte's inter was scary; i mean their transfer window was underrated af ; they built a solid team. it's just unfortanate that conte doesnt shine in champions
Conte is so underrated. He destroyed the league with the solid defense of his juve team that went undefeated. He made the Italian national team incredible at euro 2016. Then he made one of the best premier league teams of the 2010s. Winning the fa cup and the premier league. Now he is leading inter to be one of the best teams in Europe

Serious question, why is this not described as a 5-3-2. Surely wingbacks make it a back 5. I have never understood why sometimes these formations are called a 3 back over a 5 back when both have wingbacks, it’s like there is a compulsion to make a formation sound more attacking, like Mourinho’s Chelsea 4-3-3 which was in essence a 4-5-1.

I’m quite skeptical about juve’s 4312, it is a narrow formation and seeing as how conte’s 3-5-2 clogs the center of the pitch I think it would be best for Juve to go with a 433. The 352 is strong against teams that play with 2 strikers, because you have one more CB

Someone pls help me out with an FM19 conte tactic, just like this one. The ones u have found aren’t really the same in the formation :/
The roles are already given in the video, especially in midfield. For wingbacks i can say that CWB on Support work very well in my 3-5-2 at Cologne. Upfront a TM-at(Lukaku) PF-at(Martinez) combination works very well. If you want to counter attack you shouldn't play a high pressing Setup. I use a standard or high defensive line with Standard or lower line of engagement. Pass into space and hit early crosses workes also quite well for counter attacks. I use shorter passing with slightly higher tempo and play out of defence. This prevents your players from Shooting the ball forward all the time. In transition you can experiment with counterpress and get back into shape. If your team can play it i would suggest counter press. It's definitly not 100% Conte but it gets quite close in game.

@@sazzy8327 depending on the opponent you can go from cautious up to very attacking. I tend to start on positiv and react to the game and opponent later. I use very attacking only if i really really need a goal, all or nothing situations.

Conte demise is that he runs player to the ground, hard pressed and not known to pick their tempo. Expect they will struggle against team that can pass through hard presses - example juve empoli when sarri was managing empoli - yes juve won that game but they struggled to impose their game throughout and this is also why conte is not dominating CL

P.S - Look at Brozovic, i think that he is the most underrated player at inter right now. That guy is ballwinner, playmaker, distance shooter... A complete box to box. Great player, in conte's tactic he is just more defencive behind barella and sensi.
