“Yellow Jackets” consists of Russell Ferrante, Bob Mintzer, Jimmy Haslip and Will Kennedy. It is a group from New York which can be considered as the successor of “Weather Report”. Particularly younger jazz enthusiasts are attracted by this music.
This is real music ! Why are lesser classed / unimportant things viral ?
Not many notes, much space..still such a great tune after 30 years!👍
Indeed. Less is more
Can't get enough of this tune....good thing the YJs have been doing it for over 30 years....a blast to watch everything evolve on UA-cam.
Congratulations Yellow Jackets for being always bringing us joy and happiness with your Music 🎶!
YJ 35 years.. great ride
Top quality!
Drops stick at 2:34...but still keeps the show goin...
Wow he sure did 😆😂😂 Will never missed a beat ! Good catch
I have seen them all drop sticks. I Mean All Drummers. We are only Human. LOL!
Seamless Precision. ❤ Kennedy , met him 2 weeks ago🎉 the Jazz Kitchen Indianapolis!
Imponente yellowjackets!!!
Extraordinario.
Great stuff, this is what ought to be on "youtube trending"
Tomorrow in my radio show The Cuban Bridge at WWPV 92.5 FM The Mike in Colchester, Vermont, I'll be celebrating 40 Years of the Yellow Jackets with the album Parallel Motion!
Bob is outstanding on the tenor sax , soprano sax ewi , and clarinet. 4 instruments he plays ! 🎷
The best in the world
The next week l'll include other collaborations of The Jackets. I already have Bob Mintzer All LA Big Band w Peter Erskine, and Russ with Eric Marienthal and others groundbreaking albums and players! Happy 40s!
Not necessarily this version of Dewey, but Dewey is one of my favorite songs EVAH! The groove and the beat are so laid back cool, just like Miles Dewey Davis was. They really captured his essence in a song and I love it. Definitely desert island stuff. I could listen to this for forever!
I AGREE
Cada vez , mejor.
From their album like a river 1993 .
amazing
😜😊😇😇
I love Russel Ferante but damn, that synth-trumpet sound is brutal
Yeah but it WAS 1993
@@spudsmith I hear you but that's no excuse; however, he's such an incredibly melodic, sensitive and soulful player it's easy for me to look past it!
I like the piano pad he was using. Wondering what sounds he was using on the controller Kx88
