A safe ride through South Africa

- South Africa's North West Province is prime territory for the transport company Oakley Group. A fleet of Scania trucks helps it stay ahead of the competition.
Four or five times a day Jonas Moemane drives a Scania R 460 loaded with 34 tonnes of UG2 chrome ore between Marikana, in South Africa's North West Province, and the nearby city of Rustenburg. The trip takes about 45 minutes, and traffic is typically heavy on the route. However, the main problem Moemane faces isn't the traffic, but rather the many speed humps. Between Rustenburg and Marikana there are 23 speed humps, so on a normal working day Moemane and the truck must navigate 184 speed humps. Just riding with him for a couple of hours makes you understand how irritating those humps are.
scania trucks are brilliant
my dad drove a 12-litre-engine p-series 340hp 6x4 euro2 from 1997-2001
then switch to a 12-litre-engine p-series 360hp 4x2 euro2 from 2001-2005
after that,the employer of my dad trade it to a 12-litre-engine p-series 380hp 4x2 euro3 from 2005-2008
lastly,he was driving for a scania p400 6x2 euro5 truck until now
all of the trucks works awesome!
