Lol. This started out saying somewhere in Indiana, and being from Indiana and camping my whole life, I had to keep backing up because I had no clue about the lake she said. Ohhh Alabama..
Melissa is spot on! I have struggled with establishing a reasonable work-life balance, but I've learned just how important it is to not allow your job to own you. Maintaining relationships outside of work is difficult for some of us, so it takes effort, but if you put in the work you will always have a "family" long after your working years end.

I stopped near my home in Baltimore, MD to gas up the other day and as I pulled away there was a Storyteller Overland Van. You never know.

This was such a FUN campout. Great food, great views, great friends (new and old), and bourbon 🥃 !! Kait’s coffee bar was delicious. Many wonderful memories made. And, Evan does make everything look easy. Great advice on balancing work with van fun :) Journey on!

What a great thing you two are doing; this is entertaining for your channel and great for the campers who join you. That lady said it all about creating a different community to participate in when you are stuck in that career grind and you need to introduce some balance in your life. Looks like fun. I’d love to come sometime. Just made my first meet up in mid Sept and completely agree with Chris about it solidifying a sense of community among fellow van people whether full time or part time. Scott arrives and the bourbon pours! Nice coffee bar Kait.

Tents are welcomed? Hmm... I'm going to have to talk to my wife about going to a future campout :) We are still about 6 years away from getting a van of our own, but I've been following the RV scene and the Russos for a few years now. I finished the first book and have been reading the second book, Joe. Good stuff--thanks for sharing your story.
