What I appreciate about the 12 Steps is that the steps constantly reveal what they are doing and why they are effective. As a person in recovery, I've been studying trauma and how it leads to toxic Shame which leads to addiction. The biggest contributor to growing toxic shame is secrecy. As John Bradshaw taught, we must be "come out of hiding" in order to start to recover from toxic shame. The 5th step helps do that. You are recovering from the toxic shame youve been carrying when you follow the steps. We can cultivate healthy shame again including boundaries and connection with spiritual matters. Highly recommend watching old John Bradshaw videos part 1-6.
@Gez 80 Your comment is lame. Sorry you can't listen for an hr. You should stick with tiktok. 😂 Tommy's wisdom is priceless. I looked at your Playlist. Your time is not that precious. 😂
Love how beautifully articulate you are! 😊 Really enjoyed the explanation around the origin of the Red Book and why you chose to help make the 12 Steps more accessible by writing Recovery 2.0. 🎉 Very helpful !!! Love how you assert that the shift and work here (in recovery) is really about accessing higher consciousness…but first it is about getting honest and being brave to work with a sponser to say how we feel about being powerless or what we are really up to open up What an incredible service you are offering in your videos and beyond. 🙏🏼🙌🏼🌷
I love too that you promote ‘taking’ action on what we love doing that is fun…or promotes health and well being.

OMG. I’m interested but hurry up man. You waffle. At least do bullet points intro so you’re easier to follow. Time is precious dude.
