I recently was remembering my time as a 15 year old kid watching SC2 and looking up to people like InControl. I had the privelege of meeting Geoff at MLG Anaheim, he was even cooler in person. I was so sad when I heard of his passing a few days ago, I had been looking back and curious as to what all the former pros and comentators have been doing with their lives. It blew me away when I found out Geoff had left us. I'll never forget the vlogs from the EG house, his attitude towards the game he loved so much. People like him are what make gaming great, the passion day in and out. He helped pave the way for esports. RIP Geoff. The Sc2 community will never forget you.
ive watched and played sc2 for almost 10 years, cause my friend showed the game to me, after wc3. this is like when cyx left us early in countrer strike, this is why i loved this scene so much. having smix is a gem, she was the best host you could think of. she always was close to the korean players, and was able to give us insight we would have maybe gotten on GSL streams in foreign language only. i remember these people regularly, cause they really shaped me in a way.
A few years back i got mistaken for Geoff, the guy was probably joking with me, but its to this day - the best compliment I ever recieved. Respect to one of the greats, I miss you man.
Overall my favorite caster and to me he was an incredibly relatable dude. I never met him but can't help feeling like I lost a friend or at least someone I liked. It's honestly really strange to me how much it affected me. I still think about him and can't wrap my head around the fact that he is no longer here. I found this video just because I guess I needed some type of closure and had to search to see if they at least mentioned his name at the next tournament. Glad I found this.
god this gets me close to tears each time. We all should strive to be remembered with so much joy by our close friends like jeff is by the whole SC2 community!
damn dude, years later and it is still crazy that he is not here. I regret not getting into starcraft earlier when I could have known him a lot more than I did at the time of his death, seeing these videos and watching the hilarious moments of him being that shining beacon in the room always makes me envious of the time I missed not watching him. Starcraft will always be in my heart and so will iNcontrol. I really hope his family is doing better since his passing.
since 2018 it went down so rapidly first totalbiscuit in 2018 then incontrol 2019 then came 2020 ... i wanna say what a crappy time to live in but those communitys those ppl who dedicate there time with us gave us so many joy wouldn't wanna have missed that wished they hadn't gone so soon
I remember learning about Incontrol from the Documentary Good Game. He seemed like such an interesting person, so calm and focused. That's something I will try to emulate and learn from. RIP Mayn, maybe well meet when this life is over.
OMG!!!! This is terrible. My condolences to his family and friends. I only knew him through his casting. He defiantly was hilarious and seemed like a genuine human being. RIP INcontroL.
Im a man and i loved this man - haha no homo. Good man and I'm hoping that until the day you died you were making angels laugh. I loved you. Still thinking of you every now and then.

I literally don't even know who half these people are but i have played with incontrol and he was a very sore loser on battlenet. Stil sad to see anyone go this way regardless
Gone but not forgotten. Still here in 23

You will forever be missed Geoff... You were one of the titan pillars of the starcraft community. Thank you for everything.
RIP to him and Total Biscuit. Both legends died way too soon!!!
This was a brilliant tribute
Geoff made you feel like you were a close friend, part of the family... Years later and people still remember him, that tells a lot about the man.

Thanks for making this easy to find, I missed it live.
I logged into StarCraft today for the first time in three years. Scroll down on my friends list and saw Jeff was still on it. Miss you friend.

Thank you soooooo much for posting this. I missed it live and could not find it afterwards. Christ I needed to see that. Thanks again.
When even Day9 who’s hilarious says “Geoff is funny” as one of the 3 words to describe him, that speaks volumes
since 2018 it went down so rapidly

then came 2020 ...

Its so sad to see this again.. I think the sc2 community is the best of all and he was such a big part of it
