    • @2CSST2
      @2CSST2 9 років тому

      Mulinaster
      That was the reason for the nature of my reply to the other guy's comment, which presumes that you can't be alpha if you're good at starcraft which has alot to do with intelligence. I'm actually not the one making the dichotomy is the obvious thing here. I'm not saying all people training in a gym are dumb.
      Saying all SC2 players are not in shape is quite the sterotype. In fact it's even ridiculous.
      Are most of them in shape? Most probably not, then again that's the point there can't be tons of alphas they are rare. Most people you see running or lifting weights are not alphas either. Being alpha has alot to do with solid confidence most of all. It's obvious there are SC2 players in good shape with active sexual lives and what not. Maybe not super athletes but then again it's absurd to equate this with being alpha. And one thing that's definitely for sure is that they have at least some mental acuity.
      Also apart from the alpha thing I don't know how many people you know but the *most* intelligent people I know certainly don't exercise all that much, they're just geniuses. One just has to think about famous great minds. By the way most women in Korea would prefer a "one milimeter arm" famous SC2 player than an athlete, that's just your culture speaking. Lots of women don't look for mates by looking at the width of their arms.

    I agree, different races are different and for any disadvantages of any of the three races there are also advantages. What I'm saying here is that Zerg is a rather volatible race in certain situtation due to the unit production mechanics and exponential macro (more so than the other races, I'd say - obviously both good and bad) and a player like IdrA obviously appreciates stability and predictability in a game. I'd say he plays Zerg because it is arguably the most mechanics-oriented race.

    Indeed, I was just pointing out the things you can do that do work to try to stop an adult tiger. The odds aren't in your favor of course, but it's still better off than against a cobra. Especially with the parameters set where you can only use your feet, seeing as hand gestures can be used to distract cobras, but of course that requires a lot of training, as opposed to the methods you can use to stop a tiger being very simple.

    You actually see better, without all the lightning, glow and such and the game runs smoother. It never was about looking the best but having the view to see everything that goes on on the screen.

    There was a story about a tiger owner who got murdered by her tiger, and when the police came to get her body out of the tiger cage, they had to kill the tiger to get the body out. The first officer shot it in the head from within 10 feet, and the tiger flinched, then lay on the ground moaning and pawing at its head. It was still a threat to anyone going in there, so they had to get a shotgun to put it down.
    Idra thinking that he would be able to knock out a tiger with a baseball bat is pretty lolz. Those things weigh between 600 and 700 pounds and you're going to hit it with a bat. Cool plan.

      The story about the tiger kinda made me a bit sad... I can just picture the tiger pawing its head, probably in panic knowing its going to die... I kinda died a little inside now. :'(

    Indeed, however you could still employ the methods I listed as a way of stopping the tiger attack. It's a pretty simple concept, and an easily executable one.
