Great workout! Going back to beginner intermediate is really great because the true strengthening and relaxation happens! Today the relaxation got the the point that I let the squeezing of the silk dig into my tissues and I learned to relax and let the fascial massage happen with the silk! SOOOOOOOOO amazing! Beyond the squeezing pain there is sweet relaxation!
This is an ACTUAL lesson 1. Most of the time in lesson 1 videos (or even actual classes), they explain pretty easy things, yeah... but they forget that if it's your first time(s), you don't even know how to wrap the silk around your wrists! Or other things that might seem silly just because they are used to them. Thank you!!
Thanks for the feedback! :) I believe having firm fundamentals and know the basics is the key to the progression of the practice. Good luck practicing aerial yoga! :)
This was an excellent combination of poses with equally very good instructions and pace. As a beginner, I did things, like a unicorn and a split that I didn't think I'd be doing just yet!!!
What a wonderful intro into aerial yoga! I felt really empowered all the way through! I look forward to becoming flexible enough to correctly do the pigeon poses. That section of the video was a tad difficult. Thank you for your intuitive class!
Thank you so much Camille, I too got my hammock not long ago and have been struggling to find a class that is longer. You explain all the poses so well and I love the way you have set them up at different levels, I am going to enjoy learning from you 🙏🏻💕🧘🏼♀️
I have been doing your longer lessons all week, and really love that you explain things very clearly. You have a very calming voice which I think helps relax more too. Please keep making these!!!
I almost didn't try this because my lower back and hips have been hurting so much lately. Not an issue anymore! Like magic! No more pain. I will try all your videos but now know to always come back to this one to alleviate my lower back pain. Thank you so much !!
Absolutely love the class, thanks so much! I've been doing a lot of classes in Amsterdam, NL. But I moved, and there are no classes in my new town - so this is so perfect. Would also be great if you'd have a video with practical tips how to tie the knot at the top, and how to get rid of the extra fabric (with extra knots?) :) Curious for your other videos, will follow the classes soon :)
Just watched my first tutorial...without being on my hammock. Looks fantastic and I cant wait to begin tomorrow!! Ive had 2 hammocks for 4 years and have barely learned how to use them. Torn Facet Joints in my S1S2 so Im praying I can find relief by being committed to a weekly daily practice. I will join once I know I can commit to the poses without issues. Really excited. Mahalo!!
I am so glad to have found your channel! I did a teacher training for Aerial this past January, but since the training was actually my first experience with the silks. That said, I am wanting to explore it further so when the opportunity comes for me to teach it, I will have better ideas for sequencing. I practice when I can, but good aerial classes can be hard to find on here.
I’m doing my aerial yoga teacher training online and I’ve been LOVING your videos, they’re so colourful , happy, and bright! Thanks for the awesome practice!
@@CamiYogAIR no, I'm doing it with AIReal Yoga, but am practicing with lots of different instructors for my practice hours so I get exposure to lots of teaching styles!
I am new to aerial yoga, (not to yoga) and have caught on pretty quickly to some intermediate things. I was so pleased with this session, because you actually did start from a Lesson 1 mindset. I too have found "beginner" aerial videos, and although I can manage most of the poses, they will throw some things in there that are seriously advanced. This was perfect, thank you!
amazing!! I'm actually a certified instructor but it's been years since I've taught, so I've forgotten a lot. I was hesitant because so many of the youtube aerial classes I view are over-simplified and I don't feel like I get much out of it; but this class was incredible! I'm so happy I found Camille!
Thank you for this thorough and easily comprehensible beginner video! It was so helpful and kick-butt workout. You are an amazing teacher and take things at a great pace for beginners. Going to be adding these hour long classes to my routine from now on!
Thank you Camille, I really enjoyed that Class! I got my silk a week ago and your classes are perfekt to get into it easily and with lots of fun. I also like that it's an hour long, just perfect! Take care
Thank you so much for a great video for lesson #1. Like others have commented you remember to explain the basics eg how to position your hands and wrap silk properly. I'm just starting out, and have subscribed to your chanel 🥰
I just came across your channel today, did 12 minutes, had to stop because #momlife but cannot wait until tomorrow morning to finish!!! I am loving this so much so far and its only been 12 minutes!! Love these videos!!
I have uploaded some more advanced video classes and tutorials like this one: ua-cam.com/play/PLEGW59Mz9HHJzqe30EKRP0doO-i4q5Qxx.html Flips & Tricks series: ua-cam.com/play/PLEGW59Mz9HHKYbVySTnZar3rki5692z8d.html Also in February releasing Teacher training course, so stay tuned!😊
Thank you Camille for this video (and similar full classes)! I've done this sequence around 6 or 7 times now. I love it for days after the core video 😂 I still seem to be struggling with my tight hamstrings though. In the unicorn pose, I can't seem to keep my front leg straight as it feels like my hamstrings are tearing 🤭 The same is happening in the half-standing splits even with your suggested variations. Maybe for a future class, you could focus on some more hamstring stretching exercises using the silk? Just a friendly request/suggestion 😊 Love your classes and the energy you bring! You're amazing! 🙏🏻💖
thank you for the video. I missed a lot of the downward section as i struggled getting my legs wrapped safely. Could get my right leg in but not my left. Any advice?
might be crap advice, but if it happened to me I would first pt the difficult leg in to give it a chance to 'feel how it is', which might help to make it collaborate ?
Just pause the video and take it slow, don't rush and always remember to wrap your legs around the silk (from outside to inside), both at the same time. This way easier than going through half split (one leg on the ground and trying to wrap with the other).Good luck and happy flying! :)
Hi Teresa! :) you can buy a aerial yoga silk/hammock set from my website, you will find all the information about them there :) www.camiyogair.com/shop
@@CamiYogAIR I keep watching your video. Thank your comment~! Can I ask some question about aerial yoga? These days, I started arial yoga in Korea(my country). But I'm really scared doing aerial poses in the air. Do you have any same experience? or even your students has same experience? It is most hard part for me to get rid of fearness.
Well at the beginning just take it slow, perhaps do short breaks between the poses to get used to hanging upside down or float in the air ☺️ here is my blog article about the first aerial yoga classes and what to expect: www.camiyogair.com/post/your-first-aerial-yoga-class
Idk if there’s something I’m doing wrong, or if it’s how my silk is hung, but that down dog, and pretty much everything you did from that position felt like it was ripping through my hips (the fabric). It hurt like a mother. I don’t think I can do that. Do you have any suggestions? I’m actually not new to aerial yoga, so that was very frustrating for me. I love your class though. Any tips would be super appreciated.
I'm glad you enjoying my aerial yoga classe :) So about the silk, it's very common to feel some squeezing pain in hip hang positions especially if it's new poses for you. I would suggest to use a blanket over the silk, it should make things smoother :)
CamiYogAIR Thank you. On my old silk, while I felt what I would describe as sort of a firm pressure, I never felt pain. Gosh, I can’t wait until my new silks come. You have been so kind and helpful.
Love your videos Camille. Well explained and nice poses. One piece of feedback, we hold certain poses for too long. Being upside down for over 10 minutes while you explained everything didn't feel very good... and I am not even a beginner. Maybe shortening your explanations would help to have a progression that feels more natural and avoid injuries and feelings of dizziness. Keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback :) this class is designed for Beginners to Intermediates, so if you feel it’s too much, take a break and rest, don’t push yourself ;) each body is different and reacts differently too. But overall, it is recommended to hang upside down at least 5-10 min to decompress the spine and feel the benefits of the pose. You can find more info about this in here: www.camiyogair.com/post/your-first-aerial-yoga-class
Thank you Camille for the fun practice.
Beautiful view!
Thank you, Svetlana! So happy you’ve enjoyed my class!☺️💖
