His progress has been crazy! I also find that because he is such a genuine guy, I find myself cheering for his success instead of being envious and comparing his progress to my own in a negative way. He is one of the best fitness influences on the platform, no doubt.

I’m a fellow formerly fat bodybuilder and one of my favourite things about this sport is that I still get to make use of what I like to call my “legendary appetite”. Of course I’m much more disciplined and careful about what I eat nowadays, but I still loooove to eat lmao

Jay has a point. When you are severely dehydrated, there's no food or drink on this planet that will be anywhere close to as delicious as some fresh cool water.
I remember a stomach virus that had me unable to hold down anything including water for about three days and I remember even when we went to the hospital to get an IV I still was violently sick for another two days surviving on only crunching ice chips and I remember the first thing I wanted more than anything was a big ass bottle of smart water that I chugged in like three gulps
Same, was in the hospital and didnt get to eat anything and got IV-fluids, and on like the third day I got to drink some water AND a little little little cup of bouillon, it was like heaven, lol.
I had pancreatitis and couldnt eat or drink anything for almost 3 weeks. Just IV fluids and liquid "food" through a feeding tube. The thirst was MADDENING! I will never forgot how crazy it felt to be that thirsty

Fun fact when powerlifting first started out and transitioned over from weightlifting, the overhead press was in powerlifting. The only problem was it was hard to set rules for the lift since the athletes leaned back quit a lot turning it into a standing bench almost, so they decided that it would be easier to take it out of powerlifting and stick to bench, squat and deadlift
Out of curiosity couldnt they then get a seated overhead press and say that the back can’t be further off then someone’s hand being able to fit inbetween or something simple like that?
@@Hollydudd They can do it with benches where you can adjust the back angle. Set up back angle that is allowed and enforce the same rules as in Benchpress that Butt, Shoulders and Head should be touching the bench when pressing. This is a good alternative tbh

I totally agree with the overhead press comment. The overhead press actually used to be part of the Olympic lifts until the competitors started to lean back so much that they looked like they were doing standing bench presses.

If I just won Mr. Olympia, my cheat meal would be...TACOS! I'm talking homemade 10" tortilla, marinated ground beef in birria, fresh crispy lettuce, Oaxaca shredded cheese, San Marzano tomatoes (not traditional I know) Sour cream, A light pesto or chimichurri, and some hot sauce.. A good taco checks all the boxes. Great content Will, Thank you.

I absolutely love the fact that he was totally ok with just saying “no, I am not paying that much for alcohol” most UA-camrs would have just bought it for the video. I respect that he didn’t do it and showed us that you can say no to things that are out of your budget.
Dumbell press, and Overhead press are definitely my two favorite exercises.
I think the overhead press would be great addition to powerlifting, giving more variation and a strong move to accomplish too

My go-to cheat meal when I'm doing super well for a consistent amount of time; be that mentally, physically, etc, is making a huge bowl of taco salad, getting some nice ice-cream and decent uh... herbs for the... seasoning. Usually filled with regret after assembly until about 5 seconds in and then I'm just high on dopamine.
My favorit cheat meal is currently my Spicey Baked Mac&Cheese.
8oz Pasta (I like Rotini)
6oz Pepper Jack cheese (shredded)
4oz Havartii cheese (shredded)
1 medium bell pepper (diced)
1 to 3 medium Jalopeno Pepper (diced)
24oz whole Milk
2tbsp salted Butter
2tbsp all purpose Flour
1tsp Salt
1tsp ground Peppercorns
1tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/2tsp Cyan Pepper
1 to 3tbsp Panco Breadcrumbs
Cook the pasta following the directions but drain it one minute sooner than instructed on the pakage.
Same pot, melt the butter then add the flour, wisk it together then let that cook for 30 seconds to cook the raw flour taste out of the roux. Once a light brown color, add in the milk and wisk scraping the bottom of the pot, then add in all the peppers and seasoning.
Simmer on low until thick and bubbling. Add in all the cheese, setting aside 2oz of the shredded Pepper Jack. Once all the cheese has melted, add in the cooked pasta. Taste it and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
Pour Mac&Cheese into oven safe dish (I use a round glass Pyrex). Sprinkle on remaining Pepper Jack cheese and then sprinkle on the Panco. You MUST do the cheese first then sprinkle the panco or the Crust will not form correctly.
Bake at 355 degrees F for 25 minutes. Let rest for at least 5 minutes after it comes out of the oven.
ENJOY! (with your favorite hot sauce if you got any)
Best part is, if you divide it into 4 servings then you can have this for lunch 4 times a week without going over your calories!

If I remember correctly, Jay Cutler would diet on an insanely high amount of calories because of his freakishly high metabolism.
Even when he was at his peak cut he said he was never hungry and had to eat something like 7-8 meals a day + a protein shake in the middle of the night 😂.
Yes, Also he probably just gets sick of eating food.. as counter-intuitive as that may seem.... 4500+ calories or real food is super hard to eat.

Overhead press is my absolute favourite exercise with any implement 😅 my one rep max currently sits at about 150lbs implement dependent but I can assure you it isn’t a strict press

My 'relaxed' meal would probably be protein pancakes, with cottage cheese and blueberries. I also go for low cal toast and ham, with a side of kimchi and nutritional yeast.
I don't really consider it cheating from a progress or moderation pov, but the first one is the one I'm less likely to make time for.

My favourite meal is Pizza, store bought , restaurant made or my favourite, homemade it doesn’t matter. Get some flat bread, some sauce and some toppings and I am down for whatever gets put in front of me. Thanks for the video Will. Congrats on the marriage.

My cheat meal would be bowls of Mexican soups. Cosido is my fav and then menudo and pozole 🤤 🍲🥣 Mexican soups are the best!

As for a post comp cheat meal, mine would definitely be like a pasta or a lasagna or something.
One of the best cheat meals my dad makes - chicken, stuffing, broccoli, cheese, and mushroom soup baked. Unbelievably good and you can add pasta/mashed potatoes for more carbs and to thicken it up
