Very cool young lady I saw mercyful Quebec last Nov glad you liked !!!!! This was out when I was in high school but I never really listened to the lyrical content so I just liked the music the Satan stuff was more of a gimmick for the band some people actually thought they were evil back in the day 🤟🤟🤙🤙🤙✌️✌️
This song has so many changes, it feels more like a medley than one coherent song. It's originally from Mercyful Fate's 1983 debut album "Melissa". After the band broke up, the singer King Diamond formed his own band "King Diamond" in 1985. Mercyful Fate have had a few reunions since then. While King Diamond's (the band) rccords are usually concept albums where the individual songs' lyrics are part of an album long horror story, Mercyful Fate rather make stand alone songs and their lyrics are much more overtly satanic.
The most impressive thing about it all is that this is the last song of the show and the king was 66 years old!!!! He's a machine!!
