The beauty of this guy is that he can hit his opponent while going forward , backwards or when going sideways and he is so accurate that he connects about 90 % of the time. A great boxer, one of the best ever.

Nice fight! Inoue’s amazing skill even when young, man that non-stop barrage.. Mancio’s chin & stamina outstanding, with all hits sustained, he should have been ko around 2nd round.

Inoue rarely gets out of positioned every time he throws. He is always in position, what a great balance and positioning.
He's got a lot of potential. Very good reflex and punch accuracy, but still very open for counters when he attacks. His defence needs quite a bit of work.

@@rustygear447 that's why I said, he is rarely out of position, how do you time someone so fast who never commit mistakes? You can counter if someone is over extending or dropping their hands, this guy rarely commit mistakes. Hoping that Fulton makes it competitive
@@dambalasektv558 He drops his hands a lot, mate. His guards are very loose, and head movement is quite predictable. He got hit clean often like when fought Donaire. He hasn't met a true counter puncher yet. Someone with similar style to Canelo or Tank will drop him.
Macio gave his best but with no head movement, no straight, only over hand right which can be seen 1km away and take into account Naoya's reflexes, those are a recipe for a disaster. I don't know why the coach of Macio didn't prepare for this fight. You can't cover on Naoya's straight punch, you must evade it since it does contain a lot of power unlike most straight punches, it can punch through a cover. I think the coaching staff didn't watch any of Naoya's fight or they just didn't do their due diligence.

-First time: set for 25 April 2020 in Las Vegas, postponed due to covid.
-Second time: Ringnews24 24th July 2020, Inoue takes paycut to fight casimero, casimero does not accept paycut, Inoue fought Moloney 31 October 2020.
-Third time: set for "potential" December 2021, Inoue said:"Once the match with Casimero is decided, I would like to beat [him] under the rule of boxing. Therefore, we firmly ask for weight management 'doping' management so that the match will be established. I hope this year," Inoue tweet on August 18th 2021."
Casimero ignored inoue team and has chosen Paul butler.
Casimero had gastritis 10th December 2021,fight with Paul butler on 11th December cancelled, probably excuse because he could not make progress with weight.
Casimero lost the belt without even throwing a punch on 4th May 2022 lol, he was over weight at 126lbs (personal weight scales, not official weight) and lost the belt due to violation of rules.
Bantamweight118lbs, super bantamweight 122lbs, featherweight 126lbs.
Casimero lost a belt before, due to overweight, IBF light flyweight 2nd May 2014.
Bob arum said in interview: Ringnews24 24th July 2020
“We have to talk to Casimero, is he willing to take a reduction like Inoue is? If the answer is no, then we can put Jason Moloney in with Inoue, which may be an even better fight.”
Gibbons said in interview: Boxingscene 29th September 2020
“I told him (referring to Bob arum) what John Riel was looking for and he (Bob arum) said that John Riel wanted more money to fight Inoue than he’d made in his whole career”

Man, a few years later you can tell there's a big difference in the sound his punches make and the ferocity is increased by 3x. Watching the Fulton fight, those punches have a certain snap to them when he goes for the body. Also, the way he cuts off the ring and cornering his opponent is more aggressive like a tiger cornering it's prey. His calf muscles have definitely increased in size as well which adds to his power
right, but this match was 10 years ago when he was in 108 lbs.
His defense has improved dramatically. He doesn't block the punches with his face as much now.

@@ISAIAH-yu1gi Yes - his defence and judgement of distance are different level now. This is clearly a guy who works hard and smart in the gym. After Fulton - hes #1 PfP for me. Crawford and Usyk are awesome, but this guy has become terrifying.

Inoue's skills and volume of punches can make his opponent's attack telegraphic and yes, pummeling the other guy into a punching bag. He gets into his zone so fast. He's like a smaller but a smarter version of the Pacman. I can't wait to see him back in action again.

NAOYA INOUE PREPARES FOR JOHN RIEL CASIMERO TITLE FIGHT
“Each and every fan is going to have expectations. And I want to defy and go beyond each and every one of their expectations,” Inoue told The Associated Press, and said he hopes to fight John Riel Casimero, the WBO bantamweight champion. The fight had been expected to take place in 2020 but was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Inoue hopes to move up a weight class in 2023 as he is yet to tire of the sport, saying:
“You can’t keep at this unless you really like it. There may be injuries and a risk to your life. It’s a dangerous sport. It’s not something you can do without liking it.
“I am still far from the ideal style of boxing I am pursuing. If I get contented now, then I will just hit a wall when I go to super bantamweight.
“There’s so much farther to go before I reach my peak, and I still don’t know my true potential.
“I still have seven or eight years as a pro, and so I’m going to keep heading higher.”
