In the early 60's my father who was a keen fisherman thought there looked like lugworms which are used in UK for fish bait. He was in the Seychelles at that time. He picked a couple up....... He was in agony for a very long time. The on going discomfort of the spines lasted for months. He said it was way worse than fire coral or urchins. Whether it's as bad as a Portuguese Man of War sting he never found out. Golden rule of organic creatures, look but don't touch unless you absolutely know what you're dealing with.
Just saw an article warning Texans that these were in the gulf. Geez - first little blue dragons in March and now fireworms. That dirty water really pulls in some scary stuff.
i loove this series man, really cool energy!
i’ve def fought a giant version of these guys in like 12 videogames, they are such deeply, existentially gnarly little individuals

Definitely never seen one of these at the beach but they obviously look dangerous. Thanks for the great information Jace!

Looks like hellspawn and justifies the name
Everything wormlike many legs with ton of hair is hellspawn imo
That is something I would not pick up...
Thanks for that, very interesting
How big do they get?
Can someone tell me where this is so I never go there?
It appears he is at the Gulf of Mexico. That is where he usually films.
I grew up on the gulf and was lucky enough to never see one of these.
Check out our Man O' War video!
@@HarteResearch Ok, will do.

thanks for the info!
They’re good at what they do, scavenging. Don’t touch if you don’t want to find out.
yes the find out curve is high on this one 😅
Just seen this in the news so looked it up on UA-cam
What if you smash the head?
I been lucky enough to pick these up bare handed with no consequence didn't know it was bad till now
