    I've been having some carpal tunnel symptoms recently and I have to say even just doing these exercises once has made my fingers feel much more free and strong. I can't imagine how much better they'll feel a week from now.
    Thanks so much for sharing :)

    If you have carpal tunnel or on the way to getting it I would suggest to focus on the extensor exercises and static stretches. Also using hot water during stretches can increase blood flow and relieve pain.

    • @Carpaltunnelgadgets
      @Carpaltunnelgadgets  7 років тому +4

      Any physical exercise can make you feel weaker after awhile, for this type of isometric hand exercises this could reach up to 1 - 3 days doing this the first time, depending on the persons fitness capacity. The point of any physical exercise is to let your body adapt to the activity you usually do. But you will need some rest in between exercises. For starters give it 3 - 4 days.

      here's a few suggestions for exercises to relieve carpal tunnel syndrome pain
      Do stretches - the pain is casued by tension in the nerve
      get the advice of experts or long term effects can occur

      It depends from person to person and the severity of your CTS. For the average person having mild wrist pain I would say 2 to 3 times a week will be enough. The more pain you feel the less you have to exercise this.

      Sure, regular will do. Unless you are still in extreme pain like recently coming from a surgery then 2-3 times a week will suit best so you can give your hand/wrist longer time to rest and recover.

      ----
      Será una combinación de ejercicios isométricos y dinámicos, para fortalecer los músculos flexores y poner de vuelta en forma tus muñecas. También sirven para tonificar tus manos y antebrazos, todo lo que necesitas es una pelota pelota antiestrés pequeña. Y cuando la tengas en tu mano, comencemos!
      0:37 - Ejercicio isométrico: El primer ejercicio es poner la pelota antiestrés sobre la palma de tu mano y apretarla con cuatro dedos (desde el meñique al índice) mientras dejas fuera el pulgar. Mantenla apretada por 10 segundos. Recuerda tener tu muñeca en una posición neutral, esto es, sin doblar la muñeca. Haz lo mismo con la otra mano.
      1:10 - Ejercicio dinámico: Este otro ejercicio es parecido. Aprétala 9 veces durante un segundo cada apretón y al número 10 lo dejas apretado por 10 segundos. Repítelo con la otra mano.
      1:45 - Ejercicio isométrico: Este ejercicio es para trabajar solo el pulgar y es especialmente útil para la gente que sufre de De Quervain. Para comenzar apreta la bola solo con tu pulgar, manteniéndolo por 10 segundos y con tu muñeca en una posición neutral. Haz lo mismo con la otra mano. Si te duele demasiado, detente de inmediato.
      2:14 - Ejercicio dinámico: Presiona con tu pulgar 9 veces y la número 10 mantenla presionada por 10 segundos. Haz lo mismo con la otra mano.
      2:39 - Ejercicio isométrico: El tercer ejercicio es presionar con la yema de tus dedos por 10 segundos. Luego la otra mano
      2:58 - Ejercicio dinámico: Presiona la bola con la yema de tus dedos 9 veces y la décima la mantienes presionada por 10 segundos. Luego la otra mano
      3:23 - Eso termina los ejercicios. Puedes hacerlo por un máximo de 3 sets cada día o como te acomode, nuestras capacidades varían entre persona y persona. Recuerda descansar entre cada entrenamiento para que tus músculos se recuperen. Es importante trabajar en los músculos extensores, que trato en otro video.

    • @Carpaltunnelgadgets

    • @Carpaltunnelgadgets
      @Carpaltunnelgadgets  Рік тому

      @@infinitewisdom8594 Actually depends on your pain tolerance. A little tingle is generally ok. Like when you work out in a gym, you feel some tightening sensation when lifting weights. Like they say no pain no gain, yes, but you have to know when pain is damaging.

    Will push ups make carpal tunnel syndrome worse

    • @Carpaltunnelgadgets
      @Carpaltunnelgadgets  3 роки тому +4

      It depends on how severe your carpal tunnel syndrome is. If it hurts, don't do it. But even if it doesn't, I do not advise push ups with hyperextension of wrist as there is a risk for injury. Try doing closed fist with your knuckles the floor if you can or maybe get those fitness push up bars you grip.
