@J. Mtz Ghost account for an older am/pro? Sounded like you put yourself in the the category of Appleyard with the "us" talk, but I checked your profile and you don't have any content so how are we supposed to know?
Had the pleasure of meeting him today at work. Been my favorite skater for 20 years or so. Basically since seeing Flip Sorry when it came out. He was so humble, truly one of the GOATS. Glad I got to give him kudos.
As a kid I idolized Appleyard, watching his Sorry and Really Sorry parts almost daily. My favourite skater, and here 15 years later I wake up to find a brand new Apples part 🙌🏻
I had many reasons for falling in love with skateboarding when I was 13 in the 80s. I remember the haircuts, the style, the music, the lingo and the attitude. I'm 50 now and I still love skateboarding for all those things. Thrasher for life!
Mark, you will always be my top skater. Your style is unmatched. As a teen I remember watching your sorry parts to get me hyped before skating all day.
As far as style goes he’s my favorite street skater of all time. It’s so inspiring to see him still doing what he loves with such grace. 100% killing it.
@J. Mtz Dude I keep coming across your oddly bitter comments. You really sound like the old dude at the park telling everyone why they don't know shit, as you're applying a seventh coat of wax to a ledge you've been trying to boardslide for the past 2 hours.
effortless style, makes watching inspiring. guys like Appleyard (AppleYeez) are what skating is all about-reminds me almost of like a Tom Penny or Joel Parko (surfer) ...fluid, nothing is forced and so casual cool calm n collected-even w their face expressions like everything is nothing haha ...thanks for your existence 😎🤙🏼💪🏼🙃👊🏼
So weird...guys style has been amazing for...25 or so years??? And as you get older and you gotta tone it down, of course his "Old man" style is better than most.
From the old Transworld videos, to the Sorry series, to this....man he still has that all epic style and classic Appleyard trick selection. Always one of my favorites!
I can't believe that the guy who really inspired me when I first started skating is still ripping this way and still inspiring me to skate, that crook nollie front shove is a trick I've always wanted to try and thanks to Mark today, I think I will try it next time I go skate.
Appleyard, U Mean Mark Appleyard, This Dude Came Back, After 15 Years In A Bunker, & Still Has Skills. Hey Noobs, Check Ur Self, Because Appleyard is Back!!!
To all of us who are in their late 30s who used to skate when our knees were young and bones were strong as steel ... I must say, Mike must have good genes to be able to keep up that skill and endurance and how his knees can still take that much impact like as if it's still 1999.
It's because skateboard filming was always about death lenses and all of that, or at least it was when I was a filmer (I've filmed Mark, actually). I'm glad a bit more variety is creeping in. I think telephoto zoom looks fantastic.
I can't believe he's still skating at this level. What a legend.
You know the saying. If you really love something.... you'll never take it for granted. Glad to see my dude still ripping!
@J. Mtz Koston and Anderson are still skating nowhere near their prime level, Appleyard yes
@J. Mtz read it again bro...nobody of these u named skate at their lvl from past, mark is still the same
@J. Mtz Since when is cool to shit on Apples? Maybe I'm just too old for this.
@J. Mtz koston's a scientology kook now
He changed my world when Flip Sorry was released... And now "18 YEARS LATER" He continues to kill the game!! Appleyard is a legend. Period.
That Placebo song still just starts playing in my head every time I see new footage lol
Same here, i watched the flip sorry part every time before skating.
Love you man been watching you since horizon 3 released
Hell ya
Fancy seeing you here
It's so easy to forget how hard these tricks are because of the buttery style
his style is so casual it almost looks it's just some coincidence he happens to be doing all these tricks
What is buttery style?
those are all his go to tricks.. you can make a blunt 3 flip a goto ..
Carlos Marin ya mama
@@carlosmarin5228 you got the definition in front of you.
Almost 20 years later & still getting those nollie flip crooks with the same effortless style, amazing
Pinched and everything
Appleyard is the fine wine of skateboarding. Gets even better with age. Skater of the Century.
Could not have said it better !!
fine cider
Hmm, maybe you know any “wine lover” in pro community ?
He's only 37...
J. Mtz when’s the last time koston put out a full length part?
Dude is gonna be 38 this year and still killin it hard. Mad respect Mark!!
I'm 36 and I feel like 16, I still skateboard the same way I did when I was a teenager, I believe that skateboarding always makes you feel young
Inspiring shit!
38 is not old

Love Appleyard. Crazy how hes been killing it in the late 90's, 00's, 10's, and hopefully continues 20's
@J. Mtz point is, hes one of the legends still killing it.
@J. Mtz Koston is sick af, but i haven't seen a part in the last ten years were I would say hes doing it like he used to.
@J. Mtz Ghost account for an older am/pro? Sounded like you put yourself in the the category of Appleyard with the "us" talk, but I checked your profile and you don't have any content so how are we supposed to know?
@J. Mtz Haha I hear ya! I just got a little salty but all of those guys you mentioned are insane. Legends!
@J. Mtz he meant that appleyard stil can do gnarly stuff koston doesnt do gnarly stuff anymore like handrails even the berrics posted it
this was really beatifull. I almost cried.
Dude, same
This dude had been one of my favorites since 2005. Appleyard rips. Enough said
Pure facts. Him and Chris Cole are still 2 of my favorite skaters.
Him and pj Ladd got the smoothest styles
Had the pleasure of meeting him today at work. Been my favorite skater for 20 years or so. Basically since seeing Flip Sorry when it came out. He was so humble, truly one of the GOATS. Glad I got to give him kudos.
He looks the same age as he did in Sorry lol
Lol...so true
I know 😳... he does not age 😄
Lol I swear I said the same thing a bit ago. Dudes eating youth soup
Mark’s skating seriously looks like it hasn’t aged. Just as smooth and effortless as the mid 00’s. Bravo fam 👏🏼
As a kid I idolized Appleyard, watching his Sorry and Really Sorry parts almost daily. My favourite skater, and here 15 years later I wake up to find a brand new Apples part 🙌🏻

he has such a defined style. Like, it's all under a perfection parameter, it's gorgeous
well said. too clean
Damn mark appleyard has not aged much he still looks and skates amazing plus he is a dad and a RESPONSIBLE 1
18 years after Sorry and Appleyard still killin’ it! An inspiration for everyone. Style is permanent!
I love how he flicks and catches his tricks. So on point and precise
This is the type of video that makes you really want to go and skate!
I had many reasons for falling in love with skateboarding when I was 13 in the 80s. I remember the haircuts, the style, the music, the lingo and the attitude. I'm 50 now and I still love skateboarding for all those things. Thrasher for life!
Just opened UA-cam to this hell yea
Made my day too...hell yeah....r.i.p phelps
Yes - the world needs this right now!
This guy has amazing style!
Absolutely stunning. Music is perfect too. I remember his part in sorry back in the day. Put a smile on my face. Thanks Mark.
4:40 most casual kickflip back smith!
Love watching people look weightless when skateboarding. Mark puts it down so effortlessly!
I still jam out to the music from his Sorry part
Placebo is so good!
Right?! Someone needs to re-edit this over a Placebo track
Yeah this song sucks and the guitar solo is soooooo obnoxious
@@LowEndMarauder He actually says himself he Hates his sorry part Muzik! & Personally picked this 1! Everythingz Dope about this part
That part was legendary
Appleyard got me here. The song kept me here. Brilliant!
3:42 "I'll just throw a little kickflip back lip shuv out don't mind me"
The man has these huge tricks so casually, what a OG
Yeah you can tell he was barely even thinking about the flip. Looked like an Ollie almost
that`s a tre flip 5-0
@@christerpettersson5750 The trick right after that is what he's talking about lol
that was insane. replayed it like 10 times
How bout the flip back Smith on that kink rail? So casual it looked like he coulda been talking on the phone while he did it
This part is so beautiful it made me cry 😢 awesome style
He’s still got it! Still going hard
Mark, you will always be my top skater. Your style is unmatched. As a teen I remember watching your sorry parts to get me hyped before skating all day.
It’s like he just jumps and the board flips perfectly under him

Been so good for so long, effortless style. All time great
Anything Appleyard puts out is gold!
Over 20 years later and he is still going to start a new trend with that quick 180 switch nosegrind
Old is cool... Dammnnnn video part... Congratulations Mark and Thrasher... Awesome!!!
This dude is just as good as ever. What a part big dog!!! Love it.
Some people get old, and some let all the experience melt into their bones. You feel the comfort on his board radiating through the screen.
Watching his style since Flip Sorry.. Mark you're Living LEGEND! Still rippin' and droping Gnarly parts..
Amazing Mark,
thank you
He skates harder than most skaters of his generation, great part from a legend of street skating.
J. Mtz who else this age is skating like this? Not many
@J. Mtz Dude I keep coming across your oddly bitter comments. You really sound like the old dude at the park telling everyone why they don't know shit, as you're applying a seventh coat of wax to a ledge you've been trying to boardslide for the past 2 hours.
I was more entertained by this than any of the SOTY contenders that have come out so far. Legend!
but Mason Silva tho........
But mason Silva kills though dawg. Respect the style dawg.
damn he must be tired from having globe resting on his shoulders for this long
I hope they pay him well and I think they do... or else he would not have stuck around for that long.
Lolol
David Gonzalez still repping too. He had a fairly recent part called Spirit in Black. very crazy part.
Globe pay him really well !!! And my opinion Emerica and Globe still the best shoes in the business !! Fu#@ NIKE SB
He got a million dollar deal from globe. Look it up.
The song is Desert Raven by Jonathan Wilson if anyone was wondering
i was, cheers.
Mark oozes style. One of the best and nicest in the industry
This video helps...The skating, the music. Why do I want to cry listening to it? The chills.
hands down, the best hands down skater out there!
every trick seemed so effortless, like he was literally just flicking and floating with every try.
Legend is an understatement
This was very nice to see. I still remember his Flip's Sorry part like it was yesterday...
"Which one's bigger?"
that part was so chill! dudes gotta be getting close to 40 i was 14 when sorry came out and im 32 now lol
Mark just reminding everybody what time it is.
he still got that amazing style glad to see him still rippin
2003 SOTY was the first thrasher I ever bought. Man how time flies. Its crazy how this man that I heralded as a kid is still killing it.
I kind of went into a dream while watching this and it was startling when it ended. Just wanted to keep watching haha
Mark Appleyard has continuously made street skating look effortless for two decades and I couldn’t be happier!
Still one of the best styles...

How can someone still be dialed in after all these years? this is nuts, and totally awesome!
Never clicked faster on a video! 👐🏻
Making everything look so easy and smooth. Impeccable style.
He'll never forget nollie flip crook!

He's still super rad for sure! Didn't know Globe™ was still around. The close up at 2 mins I thought they were Vans.
They've transitioned into more casual shoewear but still make some really good skate shoes 😀
@@roastedtacoTV Oh ok thanks for the info! 🛹👟

Damnnnn. For an OG he still shreds! Love this.
Holy shit, people still getting clips at Parks in 2020?! Used to be one of my all-time favorite spots back in the day.
That ledge was so chunked up from bikers 20 years ago, I can’t even imagine how rough it is now. That trick down that is nuts.
