I have a weird theory that Eleven doesn’t really exist! I base this theory to the fact that eleven at the end of season 4 disappears behind Dustin when they all hug, I find it really strange for the Duffer Brother to have done such a huge mistake and started to believe it was intentional. This is the only way Byler ship could be possible, but if I stick to the original plot I wouldn’t like the Byler ship as eleven deserves to have a normal happy life for once!

I don't think Mike and Will end up a couple like people are thinking...the 80's were a different time. I'm actually surprised the Duffers wrote Will's character or even Robin's as being gay. Again the 80's were a different time we didn't have all the issues that today's kids deal with as far as our identity or our sexuality...I'm not saying there weren't people who came out as gay there definitely were, the AIDS epidemic was big in the 80's and there was a lot of fear surrounding that. The scene where Robin comes out to Steve and then the other scene when they were in the car talking about Vicky. Steve was like just go for it tell her...Robin said something like " oh yeah I'd be the town pariah ." Being gay in a small town like Hawkins back in the 80's it probably wasn't as talked about or accepted as it is today. I think the actress who plays Mrs. Wheeler saw Noah struggling with the question and went into character and was kind of being in the Mom role so that Noah didn't give anything away. It is kinda ruining it in some way. It doesn't fit into the 80s setting, back then it wasn't easy to be gay. Some parents would have sent you to conversion therapy and Will deals with bullying as it is. And then there is the other point which would make that ship stupid because it would mean writing away years of relationship with Eleven. If Eleven dies, i can live with it though.
i dont have a complaint or problem with the ship but i do feel as if it is unrealistic for them to actually go through with it. it makes sense for will to admit his feelings to mike sometime in season 5 and i do see it happening, but to argue that mike would break up with El just to get with him, or something similar just makes no sense. I find Byler very cute and it would have been full of potential if the story in the previous 4 seasons was but a bit different. As it is now, I believe they will, just like the actors said, go through this point in their friendship, evolve and - hopefully!! Duffers don't you dare kill either of them - go on with theirs lives, everyone changed as a person, but still as loyal to each other as ever.
Still, having said that, I am 100% convinced that Will is not just doubting his sexuality because he was so attached to his best friend, he is indeed gay forever 😅 And when (not if, you Duffers!) he lives to adulthood, he will find his partner. Nothing against anyone who ships Byler I just don't think it would make narrative sense at this point for the series to end with Byler. Mileven has been the endgame couple through the whole series. I feel like it would be entirely fanservice and not the best service to the story or characters if they put Mike and Will together. I ship plenty of non canon couples but I also think sometimes people have to realize not every ship you like will be canon. There's also the fact that it's okay if Will and Mike are friends and Will is gay and has a crush on his friend like that's a valid story too and something that happens a lot to us queer people.

I don't think Mike and Will end up a couple like people are thinking...the 80's were a different time. I'm actually surprised the Duffers wrote Will's character or even Robin's as being gay. Again the 80's were a different time we didn't have all the issues that today's kids deal with as far as our identity or our sexuality...I'm not saying there weren't people who came out as gay there definitely were, the AIDS epidemic was big in the 80's and there was a lot of fear surrounding that. The scene where Robin comes out to Steve and then the other scene when they were in the car talking about Vicky. Steve was like just go for it tell her...Robin said something like " oh yeah I'd be the town pariah ." Being gay in a small town like Hawkins back in the 80's it probably wasn't as talked about or accepted as it is today. I think the actress who plays Mrs. Wheeler saw Noah struggling with the question and went into character and was kind of being in the Mom role so that Noah didn't give anything away. It's going to be a mix of emotions in season 5 and I can't wait for it to get here. Thanks again Mrs. Strange for keeping us in the loop ❤

It is kinda ruining it in some way. It doesn't fit into the 80s setting, back then it wasn't easy to be gay. Some parents would have sent you to conversion therapy and Will deals with bullying as it is. And then there is the other point which would make that ship stupid because it would mean writing away years of relationship with Eleven. If Eleven dies, i can live with it though.
i dont have a complaint or problem with the ship but i do feel as if it is unrealistic for them to actually go through with it. it makes sense for will to admit his feelings to mike sometime in season 5 and i do see it happening, but to argue that mike would break up with El just to get with him, or something similar just makes no sense. I know that mike and El did have relationship issues in season 4 regarding mike not telling El that he loves her, but people seem to forget that it was clearly resolved in episode 9 during El’s battle with vecna in his mind, when mike admitted his real feelings and used them to motivate El and save her from vecna. Why would Mike say all of the things he did, and suddenly break up with her a season later? i may be incorrect, and something in season 5 may occur. but i feel like mike will just reject will in the end if he ever does admit his feelings

I find Byler very cute and it would have been full of potential if the story in the previous 4 seasons was but a bit different. As it is now, I believe they will, just like the actors said, go through this point in their friendship, evolve and - hopefully!! Duffers don't you dare kill either of them - go on with theirs lives, everyone changed as a person, but still as loyal to each other as ever.
Still, having said that, I am 100% convinced that Will is not just doubting his sexuality because he was so attached to his best friend, he is indeed gay forever 😅 And when (not if, you Duffers!) he lives to adulthood, he will find his partner. We may see it in the last s5 episode's ending scenes, like a glance into the future of all of the main characters (who are gonna be alive, you hear me? Don't you dare)

Nothing against anyone who ships Byler I just don't think it would make narrative sense at this point for the series to end with Byler. Mileven has been the endgame couple through the whole series. I feel like it would be entirely fanservice and not the best service to the story or characters if they put Mike and Will together. Again this is no hate to anyone who ships them or the idea of them as a couple. I ship plenty of non canon couples but I also think sometimes people have to realize not every ship you like will be canon. There's also the fact that it's okay if Will and Mike are friends and Will is gay and has a crush on his friend like that's a valid story too and something that happens a lot to us queer people.
fr I respect Byler fans but the thing is it won't make sense to put Will and Mike together.I know that Will has feelings for Mike but Mike doesn't share does feeling he is totally focused on El and the relationship between El and Mike has been built up since the beginning of the series so it won't make sense to break this relation ship for a relationship that is only base of friendship and unrequited love.

I have watched from the beginning and Honestly the concept of Mike dating Will is not a plausible scenario. As for El breaking up with Mike after he rescued her from the desert lab along with Jonathan , Argyle , and Will is far fetched .
That would be using Will to get over El and Mike would see that as a betrayal to his friendship with Will. Mike would not use will.... That is simply not in his personality.
