      I totally felt that when she said it too! I’ve been that low myself. It’s a very low place especially with a new baby and other littles who depend on you. Diving into something that makes you feel good definitely helps! Having someone to have your back, makes even more of all the difference in the world on top of all that!

      I love that too!! My boyfriend encourages me all the time and it is my own self doubt that kills me. If it wasn't for his continous support and encouragement I wouldn't even be starting the process to open my own etsy shop. No matter what fears I have I know he will rally up the troops to help me get my first sales which I am sure will encourage me to continue onward!

    Love this!! I started a random Etsy business (that I totally didn’t think would do anything) but now both my husband and I run full time… and by full time I mean 5 or 6 hours a day (m-f) and the company makes triple digits also. I have the biggest cricut, the heat press, and materials that came in a bundle deal and I have NEVER used it. It has sat literally for almost 2 years now and not been touched. I have been in such a funk of depression. I lost my dad in 2020 and he was my best friend. I have a background in embroidery and clothing decoration. Digitizing images to .SVG files is one business by itself. Selling vinyl separate for another product, such as window decals. Vinyls for businesses to brand shirts and hats is cheaper for them than embroidery.
    Kitschy kitchen container labels; sugar, flour, granola, just in a envelope and let the buyer apply at home.

    I was wanted to know how Ashley links up all of her machine's to her computer/iPhone/Android? If you are creating the same project with different machine's at once, do you use your cell phone for all of them, your computer, and your husband's cell phone to run all machine's? That's a really smart idea to get multiple Cricut machine's to accomplish your business but that is something that sticks out in my mind. This is a great video Orly! My aunt and uncle couldn't find an embroidery business that would do small orders, like 12 caps for their kid's softball team. So they bought a really nice embroidery machine, set up an Etsy shop, and started doing small orders. That was probably 10 years ago and now they have 6 or 7 machines and it is a full time business. One key that wasn't mentioned is having super clear descriptions of what you can and can't do (designs, shipping, etc) and great communication/customer service. You can have a lovely product but if you misrepresent the size or the colors or don't include language that covers shipping (because you can't be responsible for how long USPS takes) you'll have a lot of headaches.

As of today ive had 870 sales and made just over £12K in revenue. Slowly but surely each month im making more than the last. • @bethanyhutchinson6714
      @bethanyhutchinson6714 3 роки тому +3

      The Maker is the one that cuts fabric. It can also do paper, vinyl, and even thin wood like balsa, I believe! I find a heat press gives more consistent results, but you can try your iron on the cotton setting without steam.

    I have been a RN for 28 yrs. My job end in 8 days. I am going from a 6 figure salary to possibly never setting foot in a hospital again. Hundreds of thousands of Nurses are about to be unemployed. hopefully temporarily, but more likely forever. I am not crafty, but I am Open. This gives me hope, that I will find something to feel passionate about again. I will share this with my fb groups for healthcare workers for Freedom, as we have been sharing ideas for what to do with ourselves after walking away from our careers.

    Hello, I am from South Africa and bought a cricut just over a year ago. i love my machine and do not use it as i should but it has made me some good money and my mark up is very low. I should ask more. This was the best investment ever and soon I will be reviewing everything to start my side hustle properly. I love stationary and card stock the most.

    My Mum and I started a really small side business and I just got a Cricut, not as a thing to produce products but to do our own business cards, price tags, and advertising materials. It might make a bit of money, but the real value for us is not being dependant on an outside source for our extra things. That also means we aren't limited to someone else's designs or standard options. We may use it to help other small local businesses to cut some costs while recovering our own investment.

    One thing to remember though when doing a business is making sure you steer clear of things that are copyrighted or look like a copyrighted item. Maker’s mark actually went after a dog toy because it looked similar and had bark instead of Mark. Starbucks is going after the businesses making tumblers. Disney is known to do the same. Just something to keep in mind.

    what else besides basic textiles does the cricut do? I make dollhouse furniture and I can't picture a cricut helping me with this. I use a miter box to cut my wood which is a pain in the neck and slow. I'm not seeing the cricut helping with crating other than cutting textiles for papers and fabrics. Share your thoughts?

    I love this! I'm new to Cricut & I bought it specifically so I can start my own business & be able to be home for my kids but I'm so nervous that I'll fail & wind up in a financial hole so thank you so much for the positivity & encouragement. I do have a question, how do y'all do shipping (specifically for larger items, but also small items)? Do you package them & ship through the post office, do you use a certain shipping company, what's the best shipping options that y'all have found for your businesses?

    • @coppermorgan6034
      @coppermorgan6034 2 роки тому +1

      Pirate Ship has great rates, you will still ship through USPS or UPS so you will need to know the weight of your package, a shirt or two should fit in a bigger padded envelope..but if shipping multiple shirts of course use a box… most people use sublimation to make shirts these days it is an ink transfer but you will still need a Cricut or a Silhouette, lots of Etsy shops sell the already printed sublimation sheets ready for a at home DYI at home. There are lots of avenues to take. I started crafting years 20 years ago and have always sold and my boyfriend surprised me with a Cricut a few years ago.. it’s a learning curve for sure but Mr. Crafty Pants has some very helpful videos on UA-cam and there are some great Facebook groups. Have fun and Happy Crafting and Creating ☺️
