You’d need subtitles on the Pepsi Center version where she talks to the audience in the middle of the song. That version is Dany alone with an acoustic guitar.
It makes it a completely different song & I love it. ⚡️🤘
Yea they’re not available on the teatro show, but they are on Pepsi center
The translation is done very nicely in the comments of the video.
The Acoustic at Pepsi is one of the best she has ever done....tears for that one. Subtitles are available for the Pepsi.
The Pepsi Center is the proper version to understand Dany. I have these lyrics hand written by Dany.
This was my third stage of depression, where I was emerging from Black Holes, and Breathe.
❤️🤘😭
Her rendition of this song at the Pepsi Center concert was done just her. If you turn the captions on you'll understand her heart felt words at the end addressed to her fans at. How can you not love these young woman.
The version of this song from the Pepsi center is a more intimate version of this song. Just Dany with an acoustic guitar. She has a very beautiful little speech in the middle of the song.
Dany wrote this when the girls attended 5 week summer classes at Berklee College of music. She was 15yrs old, very homesick. I believe it was a class assignment to compose and write a song.. 🌎✌️
your right, and she also had a writer's block
I think this is the first song she ever wrote all by herself, an individual effort that her sisters had no input in.
These ladies can punch you in the face in one song with their upbeat music, then with the next song, they're giving you a big hug with their heartfelt ballads!
Only ⚡️THE WARNING⚡️ can do that!!
The most dynamic front woman in rock ….”Dany “… she is amazing .
Absolutely !
I just watched them play Alanis Morrisette's *You Outta Know* (special show on Sirius XM). They KILLED it! Dany's vocal is so powerful. Ale's bass is spine chilling, and Pau's brushed drums are elegant.
@@williamburkholder769 yeah that was off the chart amazing ..Danys vocals are fire on that song .I want that song now .Where do they find the time to do all this ?..lol
@@williamburkholder769 ale “ was hitting that 5th string on that song too ..
This version is great from 2022 with the full band. I think you're looking for Dany's solo acoustic version from Pepsi Center CDMX from 2023 as far as the captions. Different reaction that will REALLY get her into your head.
Favorite line ever: "nobody knows about the hole in my soul." Been there.
The subtitles are needed for non-Spanish speakers in the Pepsi Center version because Dany talks to the audience for a couple of minutes. While I do like this version of this song. The acoustic of this song at the Pepsi Center is more heartfelt and fits the song so much better. I recommend you watch that next.
Dany... sweet rock queen ❤❤❤
This song is from their debut album, *XXI Century Blood*, released in 2017. Dany wrote it in 2015 when she was just 15.
Dany shared this about the song at a storytelling concert at Agua Fría in 2018 (translated from Spanish):
"With your permission, I'm going to sit down to tell you a little more about this next song. Well, this next song is very, very, very special for me because, to be honest, I struggled a bit more when I first started as a composer. I remember being in Boston-we were studying at Berklee College of Music-and we had a composition class. It was a group class where each of us had to bring a composition. We would analyze it and see what could be improved. We had the task of writing a song.
I remember that one day before class, I still had absolutely nothing. I was thinking, 'What am I going to do?' It wasn't because I was lazy or had forgotten the assignment-I just hadn't found inspiration for a song. In that moment of despair, I missed my home and my friends a lot because we had been away for a long time. I also felt like nobody understood that I didn't work the same way as others when it came to composing. That's when this song, *When I'm Alone*, was born."
The version where you need subtitles is the acoustic version Dany does at the Pepsi Center CDMX concert. That being said whichever "version" of this song you listen to it is a great song! The lyrics are amazing. And it was written by a 15 year old Dany too. She was at Berklee College of Music in Boston with her family and was feeling very homesick and out of place. On top of that she had an assignment to write a song. It was due the next day and she was having real trouble with nothing written yet. And this gem of a song is what came out!!
She speaks about that in the Pepsi Center version.
They wrote great songs as kids, I love their early stuff as much as the current songs.
This is my favorite song by The Warning. I feel like this every day. If I wasn't broken it would have me in tears.
The Pepsi Center performance features Dany alone on stage sitting on a stool with a classic guitar and singing at a much slower tempo while the fans sing with her.
Dany and here amazing sister just know how to reach people, they are so real and honest with their music and as people. Long Live The Warning!
That voice fills the room completely. It fills you up
Its Danys Song for a Reason!
she wrote it at 16 while at the Berkly School of Music and was so very home sick. She had an assignment and was due the next day....was worried about failure and it became an anthem!
Always delivered with passion. The electric version for me sounds like one of the best 90s alternative rock songs that somehow got lost. Lately Dany has added a little talk to the audience saying pretty much what you just said, that we can all relate to it. You can check that out on your own if you want (yes, you’ll want to hear her talk. They’re so genuine and real. That is the one you’ll need subtitles for, they should be available on the Pepsi Center version. There is no wrong version of any of their songs, they’re all good, (unless you find a fan video with bad sound.)
You really owe it to yourself to watch the one from Pepsi Center with captions on.
Queens of Rock. They have beautiful songs that basically we feel, at some time in our lives. You nailed it, we show what we want someone to know, but nobody really knows what's inside except ourselves.
Hi. If you use the one from the Pepsi concert the subtitles should work. Her speech in the middle of that one is lovely.
funny, I just recommended this song like 30 minutes ago 😁😁
You should react to the Pepsi Center version too. This is amazing but the Pepsi Center one is just the perfect version. More heartfelt, more intimate, more powerful, just perfect.
Also, is has subtitles so everyone can feel everything to the bones.
*When I'm Alone*
*When I'm Alone* is Dany's song... Ale and Pau accompany with only their instruments... no harmonies or backing vocals... the blacked out solo beginning and ending with Dany alone in the spotlight is beautiful and quite fitting for this song and what it represents...
15 year old Dany wrote this when the girls were at Berklee College of Music (aka BCoM) in Boston back in 2015 attending the summer session they offer(ed)... she got very homesick and also had a homework task to write a song... she hadn't any ideas, time was running out, and being homesick was devastating... she recorded a teary vlog about it... afterward she realized she could harness the emotions and pain she was feeling to write her song... i haven't heard what grade she got for it but many of us hope it was an A+... Dany has also stated several times that when she writes a song, it is from her heart and whatever emotions she is feeling at the time... so here we are enjoying this truly heartfelt song of loneliness and heartache...
speaking of Berklee College of Music, their concert at "Liceo" (basically Spanish for "learning place" or "high school") had multiple purposes... for one purpose, the story is that they needed something to submit to Berklee showing Ale's and Pau's chops and how well they played their instruments... this because both of them were less than 15 years old which is/was the age cut off for the summer program they were wanting to attend... so each of them chose a song to show off their talents... IIRC, those songs were *Hysteria* for Ale, *Everlong* for Pau, and *Crazy Train* for Dany... apparently BCoM accepted their submissions because all three girls attended at the same time... while they were there they did vlogs to send to Ellen DeGeneres to keep her and her show up to date on how they were doing while at BCoM... this because Ellen and Target gave each of the girls a check to help pay for them to attend the summer session at BCoM...

Another excellent reaction, BD. This is a great composition by Danny and it touched our hearts and souls as it did yours. This is one of many of their songs that deeply touches us. Love these ladies.🥰🥰🥰
Awesome thoughts after the song. Your right! Powerful song
Dany's song. You will never hear Pau and Ale singing backup to this
There are several versions of this song.... All are great.
This song hits me almost as hard as Breathe... LOVE me some Dany and TW...
Thank you for reacting to this video, as time goes by you will find that some songs will seem completely different from one concert to another. They always try to give each audience a special moment. TWA
After you check out the Pepsi Center version (with English subtitles on), then check out "Crimson Queen" Live at Lunario CDMX, also written by Dany.
Crimson Queen is a classic song. Excellent recommendation. 👍
Crimson Queen at Foro Didi is also well worth watching, and show how resilient and professional they were when things go wrong, even at such a young age.

LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!
This concert is a gem.
Queria te dar 1 milhão de like, pelo seu discurso.
Locura!!! "Huele a Melón"
I think what you're saying really is a man thing. We'll jump in for others, but keep our own feelings locked inside. Put on that brave face - "Yea, I'm OK" - even when we're not ...
Great song, thanks for the Reaction 👍
This in live at the pepsi center is very good too listen more song aminosity, sharks, error
putting yourself through the ringer
Appeals to everyone. We’re all alone at some point. Great performance. 🤟🏼🎸🥁🎸🤟🏼
The acoustic version with just Daniela at THE PEPSI CENTER CDMX LIVE hits you more in the feels. It's more like a ballad and she throws in an endearing speech in the middle of the performance which tugs at your heart strings. As you can see, they really don't have a bad song.
excellent version, you did well, thank you for sharing!!
It's the Pepsi Center version that has the subtitles. Dany breaks in the middle of the song and speaks in Spanish her feelings and the meaning of the song in that moment. It's just her, an acoustic guitar and her fans. A very special moment.
🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
My daughters favorite song….when I listen to it, it’s my favorite too.
15 yo Dany wrote "When I'm Alone" when the girls attended a 6-week summer session at Berklee School of Music in 2015. In the last week she had a homework assignment to write a song by herself and after fighting writer's block she wrote this masterpiece the night before it was due. It's partly about her homesickness, but also about her struggle to fit in and be understood in her classes since she was a very young latina mixed in with older English-only speakers.
And she wrote this in her 2nd language and did a masterful job of describing her situation in a way that deeply resonates with anyone who's been in a similar situation.
⚡Viva The WARNING⚡
NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
there is a precious treasured gem version of this song deep down the rabbit hole, i am almost 100% sure you will be guided to that one in due time, its part of a 3 song set where you get officially warned by pau, thanks again!
Huele a melón
🤘🏻🤘🏻
🤩
Dany es tan excelente interprete que te mueve es pasión ,Dany una gran maestra de la música ,su talento no tiene limites
❤😢🤘
The pepsi centre concert was just Dany and her guitar it was an absolutely beautiful rendition of this song, you should check it out.
❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Doggo!
YES Pepsi Center acoustic version is the reaction we requested with CC then auto translate to English. It's what she says that is special. 😢😅
And the crown participation.
!!!GOODISM¡¡¡ The Warning is 100% 🔥 !!!🎵Ole Ole Ole Oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Once you get to Their song Hunter live at Teatro i will be here to react. Love the ladies. So so good.
This concert was my 1st experience to the Warning I recommend everyone watch this entire concert! That being said if this version of When I'm alone the 2023 ua-cam.com/video/YeqBIWLzhwU/v-deo.htmlsi=83PrekqI8uvnYRIB version is awesome Danny's solo performance.
I love your reactions to The Warning. I think you might enjoy their TedX 2017. It’s 20 minutes well spent. Thanks for the reaction!
do the 2016 TEDx first, though... it was done not long after they had been to Berklee College of Music... then do the 2017 one... the difference a year makes 😉
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Both live versions of this song are fantastic and both so different. The acoustic one at the Pepsi Center is just as good, but a different vibe.
Great reaction!
Ok... time to rock!!! You need to listen to 'Choke!'
🤘
Wrong version if someone requested translation. You want the Pepsi Center version(acoustic guitar version where Dany talks), this is Teatro Metropolitan version! They are a year apart!!!😊🎶⚡️
you need to check out narcissta CDMX metropolitan 8/29/22. This is the "other side" of Pau. Put the seat belt on. Just sayin!
The Pepsi Center was the best version of the song. And yes there are captions, they are a must!.
👃 🍉
Edit: guess I should explain lol. "When I'm Alone" sounds like "huele melón" (smell melon) to many Spanish speakers.
⚠️ ⚡ 💛 ⚡ ⚠️
RORH 👑🤘 ⚡🤘
your in the wrong concert, you need the pepsi center 2023
Your looking for the Pepsi center!! It's good to do both anyways❤⚡⚡⚡🎶🤟🤘🤟
There are a few songs that each of them wrote mostly on their own and they are all wonderful. But the have mastered composition as a group, which is likely individual easier for them - not that it is easy to do, just there is less chance of being stymied by creative block.

Hellooo!! Isuggest you Amoure, Choke, automatic sun, escapism, hell you call a dream...are other great songs!!
I thought this was the Pepsi center version. This one is awesome but Dany and her guita alone is something special.
I think you're ready for mayday in the making documentary or the 2 Alison Hagindorf interviews
👍 ✌ ⚡
I kind of like the sound back in the 80s when vixen did it
YES! Please do the Pepsi Center version. You won't be disappointed!!
Next stop TEDx2017 :)
TEDx 2016 should be first, no TEDx 2017 without the first one, they did so good on the first one that they got invited back for the second one.
So the first one is as important or more so than the second one.
This is indeed a great song, and you would think it couldn't get any better. But do check out the Pepsi Center acoustic version, and be ready to get hit in the feels. ua-cam.com/video/YeqBIWLzhwU/v-deo.html
Please do not use The Pepsi Center version of "When I'm Alone" The Monterrey version, recorded just days p[rior, is the the real deal. If you want to see Dany let it out and bare her soul, the performance in Monterrey is the one.
I cannot emphasize this enough. The Pepsi Center performance is good, but it lacks th emotional umph of the Monterrey performance.
Again, for the love of everything decent, right, and true, watch/react to the Monterrey performance of "When I'm Alone". All other performances pail in comparison.
here's a link: (there might be one with good english subtitles)

Thank you for sharing your story it really hit home for me. For years I was always there for others but kept shoving my personal problems aside, intending to deal with them myself when I would have the time. Reality is that you never have time to deal with your own stuff in this way so eventually it comes crashing down on you. Music has helped me through a lot of rough phases and some of the songs these ladies made are almost therapeutic for me now.
After your last reactions I think you're in need for a TedX talk, done by The Warning of course! ua-cam.com/video/pj5ue3M-v6o/v-deo.html This is what made many of us a fan for life, though I suspect you already are. Stay strong and don't forget to bring some tissues when you watch the Pepsi Center version of 'When I'm Alone'.
the one at the pepsi center was much better, but thanx for your reaction 🤘
Chuckle. You have really gone down the rabbit hole. Kinda nice down here, huh.
The version of this song at Pepsi Center is better, more intimate, but I do like this version too.
Watch the Pepsi Center edition of this song with subtitles enabled. It's Dany by herself and an acoustic guitar. You will see she wrote this in a "desperate moment". Then watch their "Video Diary (Berklee)" and you'll see that desperate moment.
Actually, the Diary might be a good one for a reaction.
