Dude, I say this with respect--Learn how to use your clutch. I was shaking my head as I watched your left hand glued to your grip...

When riding more difficult trails it helps to look ahead and try and find a "line" or path that directs you over the obstacles in a more fluid way. These paths can be low spots in roots, natural ruts in the trail, etc. Planning a route a few steps ahead can make these trails much easier and more enjoyable.

I’m buying one of these bikes this week. It’ll be my first bike and hope I can learn on it quickly. Got a new 23’ model for 3200 otd. I’m in my 30s and wanna get out with the crew at work and son next year.

Did you get hurt? Or did it shake your nerves up a bit? You were doing really good. If it was just nerves, or a minor injury, next time you drop the bike (which is very normal), go with the old saying... " If you fall off your horse, get back on" (Straight Away), otherwise it puts small subconscious fears into your mind. Ive fallen off both bikes and horses enough to know. The trick is to overcome it right then and there, unless you or the horse/bike is too badly hurt.
I have the KLX150BF ...its pretty much the same bike as the 140G but road legal. Great bikes!
Like the others said, try practice standing up (on more level ground 1st), and just apply more downward pressure to one footpeg, then the other, to make quick manouvers from side to side, (rather than weightshifting your whole body). This will help you to get through rough spots with more balance. I sit alot too coz im lazy roadbike trained, but stand when going thru tricky bits, and Keep your knees bent a bit like extra shock absorbers.
Also, best to ride with others too, 'just incase' you get into a serious situation. If thats not an option for you, then at bare minimum pack your phone up well to protect it in a fall, and stay in reception range, and let someone know where you're likely to be riding and roughly when you'lle be back.
...just suggestions. Its your choice. But im sure most seasoned trail riders would agree.
These are great bikes. I downsized from a DRZ400, coz this 140/150 is so so light to manouver ...(and to pick up when i drop it). Once the 400 (and the 600), used to get overbalanced, it was like wrestling a pig. These smaller bikes are awesome for tight single trail too. And plenty fast enough in the bush(woods).
Never looked back. Keep going man
    ...enjoy 😎👍

Thanks for the great feedback! I did get rattled a bit after that fall and didnt want to get stranded further down. Im very new to riding dirt bikes of any kind and only been doing it for like 3 months.
I will definitely try standing more and shifting my weight from peg to peg, that totaly makes sense. A lot of pple left comments suggesting I stand up but no one explained what for lol.

No worries man. I know what its like to get rattled...
even more so on a horse i used to trail guide on. Horses unlike bikes have a mind of their own. ...the main one i used to ride spooked alot ...if it saw a plastic bag or if a butterfly flew up behind it, it would freak out and bolt straight into the bush, toward trees and all. Most are such gentle animals but they weigh half a tonne lol. And he was a quarter horse ...very fast and powerful ...like a 500cc 2 stroke hahaha.
Trail Bike riding and Horse Trail riding has alot in common. Feeling of Freedom, Exploring challenging trails, and different levels of power and skill (bike or horse).
Anyway im getting off track and ranting.
If you want any tips or just a 2nd opinion as you progress, just ask ...im sure other commenters will be happy to help you too, if you ask.
Riding bikes is a bit of a brotherhood (& sisterhood). Most are happy to help.

Great video and bike too. Who is easy for wheelies: the ttr 110, the klx 110 or the crf 110? Some friends told me to take the klx 140, they told me that is the best for learning wheelies. What is your opinion? Thanks 👍
