My brother just linked me this video. As a large family my mum was one of 6 siblings we all stayed here when it was a hotel in the 80s at xmas , I think for a few years in a row although I can't be sure . I actually can't believe what I'm seeing. The staircase was grand and the then owners had 2 dogs one called daisy (a descent from the original dulux dog, and Herbie an Afghan hound who would bound down the stairs). strange what you remember. The upstairs was apartments and the out building hotel rooms. We all had these amazing xmas dinners with 20p pieces in the xmas pudding, it was most our family staying with a few others and I remember carols around the piano (probably that one) . The basement was a games room with a ping pong table. I only have fond memories. Im also quite sensitive to paranormal activity even as a child and it was a warm place. I wonder if something happened post the 80s there... This is quite heartbreaking it really was amazing especially for us working class types. I remember running up and down that staircase vividly around age 7/8 it was the best.

What a stunning place, love seeing all the original items still in there, like you said at least they were going to use them and not make new stuff to go in there, such a shame it's been left to rot. OMG you were brave going down the cellar, every turn of the camera I expected someone to be there, and yes I did see the mist in that room swirling around twice. The outside is gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing, absolutely loved this video, take care Adam.

Adam ~ can you please remove the name of the property from your video? It is getting burgled and burgled and burgled and burgled. I have been trying to get it secured, and someone else is watching over it for the owner, who I am trying to contact. It was my family mansion a long time ago. The owner is ill, that's why it's been left, but he's still very much attached to the place, as is myself. The people sitting outside saying go in should not have been there. Very glad you made this video, you do it well, but please do delete the name or it will attract more burglars before we have the chance to sort security out. The man who officially looks after it for the owner can't be there 24/7, I can't do much as I'm 18 miles away, I am having to sort that out, in the meantime can you please delete the place name! If anyone who's seen this video and this comment wants to help, please get in touch. Thanks

All of the marble was so beautiful. Loved the price with the design on it, the grapes and such. It was nice how they were so careful to take the building apart piece by piece and lay the pieces in each room they belonged in. So when they went to restore the house it could be used again. To bad it didn't get finished. I always hate it when just leave these beautiful historic buildings to just rot away. So much of it could of been sold to use in another build if they couldn't finish this rebuild. Probably still could be.
Thank you for another wonderful video Adam. Tell Lisa we miss her. Look forward to next weeks adventure! Stay safe.

This is my favorite location of all your sites. I always want to strip back the walls and see the foundations and I get to see everything perfectly clearly in this location and it's absolutely gorgeous and extraordinary, to me. All the windows panes are my favorite and the stone and the views. It's empty but at the same time it almost still feels perfectly intact like someone lives there. I absolutely love the huge stones in the floor in the basement. Absolutely my favorite vid thank you

    Thanks for this great footage.
That mist in the basement could be paranormal. If so that is the best footage I have ever seen of mysterious unexplained mists.
    Spooky.
It looks like a lot of work has already been done there. But as you said it would cost a fortune for all the necessary rewiring, plumbing and modification needed to make the building functional. I was trying to see the inside walls which look massive. Even if the woodwork gets rotten those stone walls will take centuries to disappear.
You should go back with a team to check out the basement. But dont go alone it is definitely not safe. I watched the footage of the basement which could have also been a dungeon again.

I remember my dad was working as a builder on the property he was meant to plaster the mansion. I remember has kid I was playing on the tennis court and the ponds (with my dad with me) I also remember there used have pigs in the next field. We used live in a cottage on the estate about 1/2 miles down the road it now its empty also due to substance and building became dangerous.

Absolutely loved this gorgeous property!!! As you stated, it would cost astronomical amounts of money to restore this property!!! I would love to see it done & a private family live there!!! The stonework was amazing! I loved the basement! Especially the room with the arched ceiling! I’m sure that this place is extremely haunted, as any buildings of this age, are bound to be!!! The mist that you went through in the basement, may have been paranormal 😳🙏 Most of the furniture were antique & I was happy to see that they had left it, however, it will all need restored! Some were just heavy, nice, look alike furniture! Still nice, but not antique! Love the items with marble tops!!! I wish that someone could go in, buy, restore & save this treasure, before it’s too late😳😞🙏Thank you Adam for sharing this gorgeous property with us! I truly loved it ❤️❤️🙏

12/June 2023. The mess in the entrance is probably the materials that were to be used to restore the place but when the money stopped the tradies probably off loaded what was paid for and took what was owed in lieu. Some of the materials are not usable on any other building sites. 17:33 What was that noise? It sounded like a cough or a chair scraping across the floor. I usually don’t like the big old abandoned buildings like asylums or hospitals etc. but this one is an absolute gem. Thanks Adam. 10/10. 21:58. Stop the recording and there is a mist with robe on and looks like a person with their arms held out like their greeting you then when you back of it turns into the dark mist you can see. I’m glad you didn’t go in there. When you said theres a mist it backed off almost to the back wall. Yep weird but who knows.

Looks like everything is there to restore this lovely place. The staircase is fantastic. I can't believe it hasn't been completed. I watch so.many from Britain moving to restore Chateau thT are much worst shape.

Kind of different going through an old abandoned classic building that is stripped on the inside. You can see from one room into the next without worrying about something unexpected around the corner. It must been breathtaking in it's day. And what was going on in that basement with the mist? Cleanest basement you've ever been through? Nice explore, thank you Adam!

Such a wonderful building and now left to rot life so many others. The mist in the basement looked like a person walking away from you.. blinking strange. I know the ouija Brothers have been there plus Dead Cold. Great video x
