2014 Brian was taped to a chair and beaten Brian at the time was recovering from a triple heart bypass a suit of armour worn by Oliver Cromwell was one of the many items stolen. Brian 79 at the time had lived In the castle for 50 years Brian was a we loved gentleman Rip
Very sad for Brian did he get his furniture back and other things did the Eastern Europeans gang get court where did they come from shouldn't be there how did they find out about the place hope they were court Brian's at peace now God bless him
Awesome video. The owner was attacked after returning home one night in 2014, by an "Eastern European gang." They stayed in the house for 8 hours, whilst they bubble wrapped his antiques and paintings. Prior to Brian owning the house it was a Youth Hostel, from 1933, which will be why there are all the basins etc. Brian was tied up and beaten by the gang and only managed to escape by grabbing a glass with his mouth and smashing it on the table. He then used the broken glass between his teeth to cut through the ropes. What an incredible man! Sadly Brian died a year after the attack, but clearly that ordeal must have affected him terribly.
@@nataliej82 Yes, the decay was extensive, I agree. He was in his 70s though and the house is pretty large. Perhaps the damage had already begun before he died, either without him realising, or being able to afford repairs? He had poured a lot of money into his collection of antiques and when he was robbed, he also revealed that he was not insured. 😔
What a beautiful place this has been. So sad about Brian. He didn’t deserve what happened to him. May he rest in peace. Another respectful explore, thanks again
Just watching it now I looked up the history of the former owner who was subjected to a horrific attack & died the following year which was very sad 🙁 All the priceless antiques which were stolen as a result of the robbery 🙁 the poor man must have been terrified
I bet the public will know which room Brian was brutally murdered in. I'd be asking them. It's so sad to think he renovated it and now look at it..its a shame the floors didn't fall in when the murderers were in..beautiful place thank you Adam & Dale x
A dream that once came true, filled with life, laughter and worries too.... The lives are now gone with ages past... leaving a once beautiful creation dimming into darkness.... stoking the imagination.... of all who gaze upon her. Thank you for making and sharing the video.
Gorgeous old home! Love the details in the ceilings! Thank you for your adventures and letting us see these beautiful places! Keep on adventuring!! Kathy from Illinois, USA
What an amazing place, can't believe how much it has deteriorated in the last 6 years, wow it's taken a battering from someone/thing. What a shame about the owner, how awful, hope they were all caught and sentenced to life for killing him, poor bugger. Thank you both so much for going through the tiny hole just so we can view the inside, which was amazing, definately worth it, I appreciated it loads.
What a beautiful place but so very sad about the poor bloke that owned it 😭. I love your genuine videos because you don’t bulk crap that everything’s haunted. Another fab video guys 💓💓
I love how you point out details that I otherwise may not see. Another great explore. Such a sad story. I hope they caught them and locked them up and threw away the key.
Hi Adam & Dale, what a stunning location, so beautiful. I'm gutted you couldn't find the tunnel but the explore of the house made up for it. So sad how the guy died, it must have been horrifying for him to go through and watch as they stole all he had worked for, bless him, R.I.P Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
So will the castle ever be bought and fixed again? It’s such a gorgeous place. Incredibly shameful that the thieves broke in and tortured an elderly gentleman who just wanted a place to call home. Thanks for another great tour ❤️🇨🇦
Sad story of Brian being robbed at a ripe old age of 79, and having just had a triple by pass too. I did notice that there were a few false walls and ceilings probably to accommodate when being a youth hostel. Fantastic manor house in the design of a castle. Goog find, many thanks.🇦🇺
Absolutely enjoyed this! Although it would need to be gutted, what an incredible residence it could be again. Fascinating (&tragic) history. Thank you for braving that access hole and bringing us along!
I absolutely love your videos and your humor, all of you! You make a great team! So sad all of these antiques can’t be salvaged, maybe donated, or sold to help people in need, or another worthy cause, instead of being left to rot! I’ll assure you, if this was in the US, it would never be left like this, over here the state would take over! Why is it this way there??? Kathy, from Oklahoma!
The colors blue, purple, red, and gold are considered royal colors. The lime green is common for the 70s. It probably was a magical place in its prime. Beautiful explore, congratulations on your rebirth lol. Thanks so much for sharing! Wish I could have seen it before it's collapse. Have a great week!
"It's a boy" that cracked me up - funny. Whoever chose those colours needs the ducking stool! The multiple sinks & the "youth club" painting colours - looks like the place could have been at some point - a youth hostel or something. The machine with plastic orange facing looks like a front section of an 80/90s printing press
The way second guy got in the building at start of the video....i wish i could give u 1000 likes for ur hardwork n dedication...hats off bro...loads of love from India 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖
Love your vids ,,, how you show respect for the building and contents , putting stuff back as you ve found it , , you show some amazing things ,,,, some of which I remember from my childhood ,,,, I m old , 62 , so watching you is a walk down memory lane , thankyou 👍😘
It's such a shame, l get the feeling it should be a home filled with the laughter of children running about and putting life into the home. It's been beautiful in its time. I agree with you Mark the later colour scheme is not good, it should have elegant wallpaper and chandeliers hanging. Polished real wood. Now that's beautiful.
That green paint looks like Liprosian. A well known paint famous for making people who removed it sick.... It had Copper Sulfate and Aresnic in it. Possibly it's a copy of the origional deadly paint. But I'd just be hoping it's not the real thing. Such a beautiful massive place. Would have been a stunner of a place and the height of fashion when it was built. Such a shame what happened to the last owner. He deserved better. Thanks for the video
That was fantastic. Get the feeling you were being naughty going in there. What a crying shame such a beautiful place to be left like that. That could be saved if you had a few million to spare. Absolutely loved that. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
Another Amazing Place! Needless to say the items stolen carried the curse of the deed used to steal them and those responsible have been living a miserable life.
Great exploration, thanks guys. Anyone else wonder why old buildings like that have such huge doorways and entrances, arches etc...can't help but think that maybe people used to be a lot taller than we are now. And all of the supposed turrets, possible energy conductors for the Aether. But such a neat exploration to be able to be a part of, thanks again! Really love your videos!
Love this video. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just come to a home like this and fix it up to live in there. I love the stairs and the stained glass windows. The doors and the ceilings are gorgeous. the chandeliers that are throughout. Wow Did you find a dungeon in there? The entrances are simply gorgeous. thank you for sharing this with us. lean on God
Wow again Adam, another fantastic explore, sad about Brian being attacked in his own home. Thanks for this journey through which seemed to have been a glorious home. Take care to you both and thanks 👍
You mentioned that this castle has been empty since 2015. In only 7 years it has really become derelict to this extent. Just goes to show how quickly these places become uninhabited.
Such a sad story. Beautiful house all lost. I lost my faith and hope in people years ago. I can't call most people humans anymore, I think they must be the lizard people I read about lol Thank you for the risks you take and for being so caring. 💓💓 As for the awful paint colours I think someone went around the paint shops buying up whatever was on sale LOL Here I am wishing I was rich again and wanting to save another interesting old house/castle.
This hotel or hostel it was pretty cool.. As am in Ireland and did leaving in a hostel what was same aged as this one, but nowadays unassuming, noisy, 18 rooms and for all 1 washing machine, musty, I did see pictures to about how looked like so much different.. So sad history if true..

Everyone who’s subbed I would imagine Katie

What a beautiful castle even the colors are grand 😍 you guys did a great job in your video 📹
What a job getting in !
