  • Prince Rama Varma is scheduled to take two online classes on Saturday and Sunday,
the 29th and 30th of June, 2024, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm IST. These sessions are being
organized by the Varaveena School of Music, Irijnalakuda. Please message +919995834829
to register. The complete video of both the sessions would be made available to all those who
register. The menu would feature an enchanting Swathi Thirunal Krithi in Raga Mohanakalyani and the completely cute song from which the lyrics in this video were taken from, for sure. More songs would be added to the list during the coming few days.

I think it's "bhārati dēviya nene nene...." by Purandara dasa in Kannada.
"Nene" roughly means "think of", "remember", or could contextually also mean "to soak in" (as in "mal̥eyalli nene" literally "soak/drench in the rain") in Kannada.
The way in which Prince Verma said "nene nene nene nene" reminded me of the Kannada film song "Ārādhisuve madanāri" from the film "Babruvāhana" which happnes to be in Kharaharapriya.
Thus seems to be a perfect match, given that, this song is popularly rendered in Kharaharapriya, although i have never heard it being sung in the way Prince Verma describes here.

      Amazing guess!!
I think so too, only after seeing you comment though.😅
Now that I recall, "bhārati dēviya nene nene..." a popular composition by Puranadaradasa is often rendered in Kharaharapriya.
Everything seems to fit in perfectly. Though, I've never heard anyone start of with "nene nene nene nene..." like that.

I don't know enough music to identify Ragas, but in this case, I do know that it is not Sindhubhairavi, since Varma ji had told me the name of the Raga. But he deliberately refrained from saying it, so that listeners like you could have fun trying to figure out what the Raga (which Varma ji said, was quite easy) and what the song was too.

I'm copy pasting the same comment I've added from the main comment box:
