- This video shows off all of the cutscenes featured in story mode in the TNA Impact video game.
TNA Impact's Story Mode follows the games main character who after winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is beaten down and left in Mexico suffering from memory loss.
The story then follows his return to the ring and his journey back to TNA where he takes on the man behind the attack, Jeff Jarrett.

TNA, or Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling is now known as Impact Wrestling.

*We've got a bit of a Throwback Thursday today as I recently replayed the TNA Impact game for the first time since it released!*
Overall I found the story to be pretty good, although the matches get really repetitive due to the lack of match types.
I still can't believe they made the main character into an actual star! 😅
for a pretty barebones game the story was pretty solid
I love that they brought the Suicide character from the game into the actual TNA show.

I wish Midway never shut down as who knows how better the sequels would have been.
I love how they used a version of their theme songs in the background when they were on screen
Nash’s voice work in this game is actually much better, more animated, and very hammy than the wcw invasion story in WWE 12
For some reason WWE’s voice acting in games always sounds tame

Yeah the character creation was ps3/360 only so if you played on ps2 you got Suicide X

Never happened. Took TNA damn near a decade to get toys and a game
Then Dixie hired Hogan and Bischoff who gutted the company and forced them into a senseless Monday Night War they lost in quick fashion. Then she got them kicked off Spike TV lying to them about Russo.
Actually TNA had more viewers and international exposure than aew has now
@@KingJohnMichael 10 years ago, everyone were watching from TV. Now, most of the viewers are from online, so we can't really compare them.
TNA was light years better and had better ratings and grew organically
Man they seriously made the main custom character in the story an actual wrestler with it wearing the default costume shown in the opening cutscene. That's a bit weird but hey most characters in professional wresting are weird
The game had so much potential… like why couldn’t they add just 5 knockouts at least and have better hair graphics like SvR series
Actually these were better graphics than the svr game at the time specially for caws. The only fault the game had was it was a little stiff and less options.

Used to love this game… as an avid fan of the cruiserweights, due to loving the highflying/speedy wrestlers…TNA and their x division was awesome. Plus that 6 sided ring was dope.

Always love that scene of Suicide getting punched into a shooting star press by LAX. Somebody need too recreate that as their finisher on tv.

Match after match with the same jobbers and the same 5 moves sucked. Tag matches were damn near broken.
That's the biggest criticism I had going back to it. I'd have liked to see what they'd have done with a sequel tho.
The storymode somehow had better cutscenes than 2k20.
The graphics were pretty good for the time. Too bad the game didn't live up to it's potential
this was a fun game...well great graphics and awesome storyline were better than smk vs raw series...the reversals were fun

Wait . . . how hadn't I noticed the Suicide character eyes being viewable before. Been a long time since I've played it admittedly. Liked the game and thought it was a decent first TNA/Impact Wrestling game although lacking options which always hoped that a follow up game would have added to and improved.

I think he had a big role in WWE '12 leading into War Games but I can't remember much of the original Xbox games.

@@Smacktalks That RTWN wasn't the same as the ones with Justin Leeper but they had interesting moments like the transitions between characters. The one where Seamus crawls down the ramp was memorable. But they rebooked the Invasion but with less star power... and all those Vader/Animal handicap matches in the backstage.

The first Suicide wrestler in TNA tv show was a Filipino wrestler aka TJ Perkins.
Wrong it was Frankie Kazazarian and Christopher Daniels. TJ Perkins took that role 5 years later.- December 8th 2021

I had this game for ps2 really wish create a wrestler available on that system
I wish the gameplay wasn't ass. All the wrestling games with Sal Divita end up sucking. This team worked on WWE All Stars. Just not my style. I wasn't into the WrestleMania the Arcade style ones either (thank you 616 Entertainment for your retrospectives) Immortals seems interesting. I wish they'd resurrect that abd put it in console between simulation style games.
I had this on PS2 back in the day, by far the best lookin' PS2 game graphics wise, even the arena lighting too.
