This is such an incredibly insightful interview. What a great interviewer who really did his homework. Barbra is so eloquent and she looks so relaxed and charming in this interview.

Yes, I agree. One of Barbra’s more relaxed interviews. It’s all about the chemistry between her and the interviewer. She clearly feels at ease with Mike Morris. He was a great interviewer and journalist, who had integrity.

Love this interview. This is Barbra at her most relaxed and unguarded, and she's absolutely divine.

Before I read any other comments, I want to say, there's not one singer who's come after Barbra that hasn't been influenced by her in some way, shape or form. And I don't think ANY other singer who rose to stardom so quickly with NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER who deserved it more on talent alone than Barbra. The sheer DYNAMICS of her singing in the 60s 70s and early 80s was phenomenal. She was like a horn.

Thank you, jeffsabu, for sharing this with us. Barbra Streisand's talent & taste is as rare as that of Michelangelo or DaVinci, ... at least, in my opinion.

She reckons people she's never met only think they love her. I beg to differ. I have been a fan for 47 years. I don't love her like I love my family and friends, but as I've studied her, I know, with absolute certainty, that I definitely more than like her. She is very intelligent and I love that. She is very interesting and I love that. She is beyond gifted and talented and I beyond love that. I could go on...but the thing I love most about her, is that listening to her albums got me through the darkest days of my life. When my mam died, I was 16. My world ended. I locked myself away in my bedroom with only Barbra for company. The comfort that gave me got me through. I have seen her twice live in London. I did feel that it was someone I knew personally up there on stage. Two nights I will take to my grave. Thanks Barbra.

Wow, this is one I've never seen. I'd thought I'd seen every imaginable appearance that Streisand has ever done in front of a camera. This is what's great about You Tube; because now I'm wondering what else is in store!

She was comfortable and forthcoming. He gets credit for not creating a space filled with anxiety for her. I have been on press junkets when an actor must either go from interview to interview or stay in one spot as the interviewers come and go. Trust me it would put anyone on edge. They all want to ask THE question for sound bite purposes. It can get ugly. This interview seemed to me to have the right energy for both BABS and for him and his team. Well done. PS I dont get why it says in the top corner "not for broadcast" hhhmm!

I have to say that the year here, the things Barbra said, etc., all so significant. I was going to copy and paste from "Best clips from Nuts", but instead: I read once, perhaps an article from Billboard magazine, "...but Barbra is a closet intellectual." I thought, "Closet?!". There is nothing "closet" about Barbra if you're paying attention. Have you seen any of the "Better Health" ads? Barbra has been focused on and advocating for better health many years before this current emphasis on it. Even in "The Main Event", she was exploring the differences and similarities between men and women. "Nuts", "The Mirror Has Two Faces", "The Prince of Tides", etc., are all important lessons, including, "Yentl", which came strongly from her heart. But back to "Nuts": No Oscar nomination for that incredible performance? Too many mysogenistic morons spoil the show. No better health for these.

The best female vocalist of the century in her prime. She’s staunchly political now and uses F bombs in concerts and current interviews. You would think she be more godly and humble with age.

In fact it's reality distortion what "they" said about Barbra.
She NEVER sacked people to the left when she walked in a room....
She demanded to fix the sets in every talk show she has been invited to, though.
Jimmy Falon "came up" with the "sudden" idea of having Barbra sit on the host chair.
Fervant fan Rossie O'Donnel had no problem to switch all the furnitures in her set just to have Babra sitting on the left. Same with Oprah, Larty King, Barbara Walters, etc, etc....

Nuts was a noble effort which didn't quite hit the artistic mark. At this stage of her life/career vulnerability was a stretch.
