These are high quality and very nice backpacks, but if do that the side pockets can accept the Nalgene bottle 1 l or if an ax placed between the backpack and the pocket, that would be ideal ... And like 339 to have plastic buckles. the backpack was at the very top :)👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
There are strings on the sides of the bag that can be used to tighten it to make the bag sturdy with less stuff inside, the range of adjustment is approximately 10 cm.
