Which mic sounds better to you? Let us know 👇👇

  • @joshamrock

I mean the $1200 sounds better, but it seems so overkill for youtube!

  • @whoustmaster2776

mkh50 sounds better for sure but if you told me it cost 12 times more i wouldn't believe it until I saw it!

  • @Gamatatsu490

If you consider how expensive high end cinema equipment is, $1200 is not so bad if it's the same one used in Hollywood movies.

  • @lilmai1997

The $1200 mic sounds so much better but I don't know if I would be able to justify spending that amount on money when the rode mic sounds pretty good too

The best thing about the MKH 50 is you buy it once and you probably won't ever need to upgrade it for your entire videography career. Just picked one up a while back and i'm so glad I did

  • @seeviper7576

For 100, the rode is really good, but I can hear a difference for sure.

  • @liaotech6185

The difference is big but most people won't notice because they're listening through laptop or phone speakers.

  • @StanligFilms

for me the mic doesn't matter, it is the quality of your normal voice hehe

  • @handansaber6019

Not even close, but most people will be watching on phone or laptop speakers anyway :')

  • @moniquen8641

Great video Aaron. I found the expensive mic was better but if you don't compare them side by side, the cheaper mic still sounds really good.

  • @Traveler_Greg

Great presentation. Very nice microphones. Best regards and thanks for the review. Have a nice week. 👍

  • @21Swayzee

Ha! That would have been an amazing ending! Fun watching you rip the guitar again! I agree, depends on your use. Awesome review and reflection. I hope you guys have an amazing holiday!!!

  • @DigiDriftZone

I have the Go II as well as the Micro II, they actually sound surprisingly similar! - but the USB-C on the Go II adds a great level of flexibility. Great review, thank you.

The guitar recording sounds so good! 👏

  • @geezer2tech154

Bummer! You didn't give my microphone, the NTG-5, any air time. Loved your guitar playing!

  • @retrogamerz9576

That analogy at the end about the fillet mignon vs a rump steak... such a great way to look at it! Really interesting watch!

  • @anhngocquy3759

Thank you my dear for this great video. Greetings and sending love from Vietnam! ❤

  • @cceanna

It would be interesting to hear how mics in between price points would sound as well but really interesting watch Aaron! Listening with headphones and I can defo hear a difference but only really towards the end when you switch back and forth. Also nice guitar playing!!!

  • @ariella522

The mkh50 sounds so rich and crispy somehow. The guitar recording sounds excellent too!
