Raag Bageshri is one of the most jovial and enchanting night Raags. It is the most favoured raag among musicians and listeners. It is a popular raag of late night, which purport to depict the emotions of a woman awaiting for reunion with her beloved. Raag Bageshree leans towards contemplation, pathos, poignancy and yearning.
In Granthas its (Bageshri) name is Vageshwari. It is said to have been first sung by the great 16th century mestro, Mian Tansen, the celebrated court singer of the great Mughal emperor Akbar.
Raag Bageshri belongs to kafi Thaat.

Gupta Ji: Where and when were these concerts held?
When was this performed?
Is it Mohe Panghat pe, after bageshree ?
It is Raag Mishra Pilu, the same raag in which the song you mentioned is composed.
mishra pilu and after " ANAR ANAR"
which taal is being played in vilambit here?
Teentaal
I think it is Addha Teental in Bandish and Teental in Drut Lay.
@@vivekdeshpande558 it's vilambit teentaal... Adha has different chalan...
please does anybody tell me the second raga played after Bagesri? thanks
Piloo maybe?
@@PeppeFrana Mishra Piloo yes, with Raga Gara from 53:00 onwards
Last item played is bhatiyali folk dhun of bengal.
@@vedgupta7611 thank You Ji
Tabla is not tuned properly 😳
Not impressed with the tabla at all. Ustadji's layakari killed him.
