      Definitely grabbing some of the wago lever connectors. Had the regular ones for tight spaces but always wished they could be changed without cutting the wire, this is way better. A must for connecting 4 or 5 wires which happens often in old house wirings

    I would not put the sensor in a lamp fitting as it will detect light from the bulb then turn it self off again then then on again and so on

    They do sell LED bulbs with light sensors too, just screw them in like a normal bulb, way easier than add allstuff you did

      They do and I have a few, the issue is if its a shaded area like a porch it cant tell night and day well. With this you could theoretically drill a hole on like the side of the porch to put it through and turn any light on or off. Personally I ended up using a timer light switch for it

    Another good option is the timer light switches, they can be a bit annoying to initially figure out the settings but once done they run well.

      That’s what I did. Got a few TP-Link - Tapo Smart Wi-Fi Light Switch from Best Buy for $13 (on sale) and programmed the front/porch lights to turn on 30 minutes before sunset and turn off 30 minutes after sunrise

    Yo my man, the red wire could be the hot wire but it's actually the load that powers up the light bulb 💡 hot wire is black that's the line wire.

    I am curious about the longevity of it. Feel like here in AZ the UV kills everything unless its built really well. There are a few lights I would like to install these on

    So I got three outside light front of my house. With one will it work with all three with a single sensor?

  • @selfmade128
    @selfmade128 5 місяців тому +2

    But is there anyway to wire a photocell with a switch bypass? Eg. need the light to be on when it’s dark outside like for a basement, I could also turn on independently?

    Great share but an easier option is just to purchase a bulb that do it.

    Supposing I have several outdoor lights (SIX) all controlled by ONE indoor switch? There MUST be a simpler way than converting each separate fixture.

  • @8ticks363
    @8ticks363 5 місяців тому

    Just buy led auto on bulbs. Way easier.

  • @waleyefish9026
    @waleyefish9026 5 місяців тому +2

    The sensor needs to face away from the bulb. I would drill the hole in the outer collar of the fixture.🦧
