My school district (Fairfax County, VA) used to have Blue Bird TC2000FE's (model years 1989-1994) even as spare buses as of the 2007-2008 school year as well as the 2008-2009 school year. Too bad I do not have any photos of them.
@FujikoYakushi No, I had to move them because they where taking up parking space at the high school. During the school year regular drivers have the option to take their buses home though.
Starter seemed a little week... has it been sitting a while? Have you been doing mid-summer drives? :-D The engine sounds great in that, much better than our '97's. The transmission sounds like our '00s.
I love this bus, in elementary I rode a 98 model that just so happened to be number 14. I got hooked on the transmission whistle.
Nice bus. I love the squeal of the tc2000s! All the ones in my county were retired. =(

@09ThomasEF The Bus has been sitting since May. Our buses do nothing in the summer, they just sit around.
