You just sold me on not getting this… what an informative review, mahalo bro! 🤙🏼
You’ll have to let us know how you like it! 😃

@@PackHacker2 he said not
I reckon the lack of organization goes back to Chrome's bike messenger bag heritage. Most quality messenger bag manufacturers have always kept the bags very simple, and this habit has carried over into their newer trendier styles for the everyday EDC. I don't mind it though, I don't like too many pockets within pockets within pockets ect.
Those little loops are actually for your zippers; it locks them so somebody can’t open it quickly as a pickpocket without you noticing. The brand is based in heavy metro areas so they added it as a minor anti-theft.
That might be a good idea but I doubt they're for that. There's already two zipper pulls that you could lock together.
missed the secret Velcro pocket lol ;)
I hear you on the internal organization. I've been using the Kovac sling bag for two years now and that was also my main complaint. Ended up buying a really nice black mesh pen bag/case for the smaller items. Been happy with that solution, but they can totally up that game! Thanks for the review
Thanks for watching 😃

Would love to see a comparison review to the Greenroom136 Metrorunner, very similar style, size, and not too far off price-wise.
I just picked this up and could immediately tell that the straps don't sit naturally. They want to sit more on their edge which is really uncomfortable unless worn very tightly.
I also want to say that the need for the elastic band to keep the strap from flopping around is annoying, it constantly gets out of place and needs to be readjusted. They could have done that better.
Thanks for sharing your insights, Malcolm! We’ll see you in the next one.

@@PackHacker2 For sure! Good for other people who may read this in the future. What I noticed with some more use was that the main compartment has a keying holder, but there's no place to store the keys the way it's designed right now. So that means the keys swing around and hit other items. I would have really preferred it if they put the keyring holder on the same side as the organizing pocket. The lack of interior organization hurts again in this case.
I also noticed the metal bottle opener buckle sort of makes the bag unwieldly to carry around in the hand. It's like having a piece of metal hanging at the end of a rope... I've accidentally whacked my table and chair a few times already pretty hard.
Thanks for the review. What is the brand of the interesting watch that you are wearing in the video?
I enlarged it to 4K and it looked like it says "Void Watch"
@@newFaction64 many thanks!
I was looking at this, but the fact that it’s only left shoulder carry was a deal breaker. The search continues….sigh
What?! Thanks-- with that knowledge I dont even need to watch the rest of the video. And so my search continues too.
Wow ok that's cool ! I have the regular kadet and if I can pack a full uniform my level2 work gear and bike tools the bag is a GO ! I think I mite try this little buddy.
Thanks for watching! 😃

Can you wear this bag comfortably around your hip as well? Might that be a solution to wearing it during cycling so it's stays in place?
It would be a challenge because the strap does not quickly separate from the bag.
- Austin
You forget to mention the secret pocket at the back where you put the u-lock
I just found that on my bag and was like "why hasnt any videos talked about this??"
@@ChillingwithMalc because it's secret pocket🤣
@@RiggerHippie 😉 oh... never mind. I never found any kind of secret pocket. This comment will self destruct in 5....4....3...2...1...💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
What sunglasses are those?
Thanks, very well done Review👌
Thanks for watching 😃

Does this sling fit a ipad mini 6? Like in the slip pocket or even in the main big compartment? Thx
Hey Robert! According to Chrome's site, there's a 5.5" x 10.25" internal compartment that might suit your needs. Hope this helps!
- Austin
Could you compare to hex ranger mini sling please? Thanks for all your vids.
Man , You're right about the strap . Super uncomfortable ..... Made to be worn very high on your back ...... Good for biking but not what I'd call a EDC bag ......
Anyway , That's my two cents ..... :D
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙

Regular Kadet sounds way better
I have the Mini and it great for a quick day ride. Chrome being a cycling company and all, but for me the Kadet is too large. If I need ghat much storage, I'd rather have paniers
Where’s your phone go?
why you never do a review of brands like Frank Clegg, leather products, for example frank clegg compass, there is no review on yt for that bag
I hate the way this bag carries. It’s probably the most important aspect of any bag and it’s terrible on this one.
I just got one and the size is exactly what I see myself needing for day trips on my upcoming travel- That said, is there one about this size that you do like, with a better strap setup?
@@codyf8511 I’m using a cheap one from H&M and it’s been amazing. I like the style better, better pocket selection and it stays in place… proving that these style of bags can be done right. It was £12 and I’ve put it through a lot and still no signs of wear.
@@morning_sounds Damn, I'm gonna have to keep an eye out. I've got a bellroy mini and its beauty but it's maybe a hair too small for my planned use (point & shoot camera, go pro, phone, spare power supplies for all). I thought a 2-3L would be all I want but the 5 seems better. Plus I hate how the straps are attached! I like the kadet but haven't had a chance to take it out and about yet. Gonna have a gander at this H&M.
@@morning_sounds I searched for h&m sling but could not find. Do you recall the name?
failed... Chrome's products compared to other similar product is cheap..
Mini is for chicks.
