Thanks for being good community folks! People are always so friendly to me on this channel. Making movie related content that entertains folk like you reading this (yes, YOU) is a dream and passion of mine. I gave up my lifelong dream of being a director due to difficulties with fatherhood and finances and have since devoted all of my rare free time to creating content for you all to enjoy. If you enjoy it and have the spare second to click subscribe, I would more than appreciate it. Doug (Talk to the Hand) x
This is one of those movies I cannot in good conscience recommend to anyone I care about, despite it being a brilliant movie. And most the people in my life would be too horrified to sit through it, I don’t know what that says about me. But god it’s brilliant, and it isn’t violence just for violence. The characters are so complex, except her husband whose just a shit who got what he deserved
Today I had shit day at work ...teacher...so I came in and cheered myself up by watching reviews of this film...how ironic been cheered up by watching this.
@@POVCAST_YT Thanks but no far from it I have taught male working class people who have been inside teaching them GCSE maths, isn’t this a brilliant film but it is fading on me and now I prefer Terminator!
The film is about revealing the hidden...the dark mass of white English working class culture that prevails amidst our urban settings...wanting to make sense of the modern world whilst dealing with personal demons and hopefully just hopefully finding someone to share.
It is Saturday eve and I have just watched the entirety of the film again on my IPad Pro...I am about to play chess and will cook a meal for my wife and I. This film has hooked me in big time, I reckon in about 20years time I am going to be an Asian Pete Mullan.

I wish they could know that this film stopped me going back into a narcissistic relationship, thanks to the incredible acting of Olivia Colman

One of the best British movies in the last 20 years. All superb performances. Enjoying Peter Mullen in "Mum" at the moment.
I want to thank you all for the support in the channel, this has been my best performing review. You have encouraged me to do more. Love. Doug x
Peter Mullan and Olivia Colman wow. Masterclass in acting. Great film by Paddy Considine.
I just stumbled upon this film and loved it as much as I hated several of the characters. 2 thumbs up 👍
Some of the best acting I have ever seen anywhere in this film.
A long time no speak so I decided to show I am still watching still awaiting comments from the public of this hypnotic film.

Needed to watch this again maybe because it is January the worst month ever and primed for acting performances leave you longing for more.
I kind of like this film.
Abuse rage and redemption...has a hint of a Ken Loach film title.
