Beautiful Hakone Japanese Gardens and Estate, Saratoga, California

Hakone Japanese Gardens and Estate in Saratoga, California. This 18 acre traditional Japanese garden is one of the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. The gardens include waterfalls, a Zen garden, tea house, wooden bridge over a koi pond. The estate is over one hundred years old and was built and used, on and off, as a residence before being purchased by the city of Saratoga in 1966. It is opened to the public for visits.
