.... 17 years on... Wow... Thanks for making me listen to the track again for the first time in years... Thank you for your kind kind words and taking time to go back and revisit our first release... Humbles me every time I see fans still spreading the word. Respect. The drummer. 🙏🏽
I started my journey into fightstar’s catalogue almost a year ago and I absolutely love y’all’s music. Every track I’ve heard so far has been incredibly good. Thank you for making awesome music.
Wow, from the man himself, absolutely love Fightstar, defo I my top 3 bands of all time. Love to know if there's anything else in the pipeline soon, missing you guys!!
Dude this is one of the most underrated bands of the last 15-20 years. They’ve never got any of the praise or respect they deserve. Please check out more Fightstar!
This is sadly so true. Easily one of my all-time favourite bands. Been listening to them since Grand Unification as a kid (I didn't know of They Liked You Better at the time) and every single album, while completely different to one another, still have the Fightstar sound are a 10/10 for me. This band massively influenced all of the music I ended up listening to, playing and writing - even to this day. My ideal song is post-hardcore riffs, with progressive-metal ideas, but catchy as anything vocals. There are very few bands that I have found that comes close to Fightstar in this regard - maybe Press To MECO, Marmozets, and Arcane Roots come close... all of whom are influenced by Fightstar. I'm so glad that TNT noticed how good the drumming was. The drums are such an incredibly important part of all of Fightstar's music. Obviously, Charlie's vocals are often the focal point, but the drumming is what makes the good songs become GREAT!
To be fair the music press have been highly complimentary of their records and live shows to date, but they've never gained the full approval of the public because of Charlie's association with Busted which is just pure elitism and musical snobbery. In my opinion Fightstar deserve the same kind of level of success aswell as respect as the likes of Deftones or even Muse, amazing band!
The lead singer was in a huge boy-band called Busted in the UK playing massive arenas, then he started Fightstar and this was the very first single - Fucking blew me away when I first saw the vid!
He actually rejoined Busted about 5 years ago. They came back with an 80s synthpop sound then shifted to a more pop punk sound like they originally sounded but more mature
"Boy-band"? more like a band of boys back in the day but so were The Beatles and even The Who, but the stereotypical Boyband per say do not play instruments and write their own songs which Busted do.
I'm glad to see people are still listening to this band today. They were so underrated back in the day. I think most people that considered themselves to be a rocker/metal hear couldn't get passed the fact that Charlie was in Busted. They didn't get a fair shot. However, the singer that does all the harmonies in this song has a new band called Gunship. They have a 80's retro kinda sound, but they are awesome! Huge fan :D
Glad to see Fightstar getting some love in the States. If you want to dive a little deeper down the rabbit hole, one of the bands that inspired these guys was called Funeral For A Friend. I’d recommend Bullet Theory, This Year’s Most Open Heartbreak or She Drove Me To Daytime Television.
Lead singer was originally in a skater boy band before this. Was quite surprising when he went on and formed this band. They had quite a few good songs.
A few more like quite alot 😂 jokes aside, I remember when busted split and the reason why Charlie left in the first place, was actually due to him wanting to express his own music and couldn't do that with busted due to them being a pop/punk rock band so it put a strain on busted and finally split, he was telling us to watch out for his new band, remember when I first heard this song boy oh boy did I scream my house down lol
For other great songs by Fightstar, I'd recommend Paint Your Target, Waste a Moment, Deathcar and Floods. Those are some of my favourites. Thanks for doing this song. They're such an underrated band
@@mutekrabby5039 oh how could I forget The English Way! I was thinking of most of the stuff from their first 2 albums as I think that's some of their best work, although I love Be Human and Behind the Devil's Back.
I’d argue he is one of the UKs most underrated musicians. He can go from pop punk type of music with Busted to his singer songwriter/folky solo stuff to his post hardcore/metal side with Fightstar
My favourite band when i was a teen, still a bit dissapointing they arent well known, charlie simpson was in Busted i thought everyone knew busted at least

Need more Omar. Missing Fightstar
Ay hello Omar, love playing this song on drums seriously brilliant work mate! You killed it on all those tracks

Dude that’s why I’m saying! I’ve been rocking with fightstar ever since the beginning and they are phenomenal. So slept on.

Too right sir! the english way was played like every 10 mons on kerrang when they had a tv channel 😂

Fightstar was one of the bands that started to bring me towards metal back in '06. Loved the video. Fightstar will always has a place in my heart.
I really enjoy this band but finding out that they are Deftone fans took it to another level for me.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT you should listen to their cover of (Shove It) My Own Summer it’s fucking amazing!
One of the best debut tracks of all time, chronically underrated. Kings to their fans
I remember the moment I heard this song for the first time after it came out. I was only 12 or 13. I will never forget it.
Glad to see Fightstar getting some love in the States.

Since you mentioned Funeral for a Friend, Fightstar did a great cover of She Drove Me to Daytime Television
Josh Hanson heard it. It’s a great cover. Heavier than the original, but I prefer the original.
Lead singer was originally in a skater boy band before this. Was quite surprising when he went on and formed this band. They had quite a few good songs.
Busted have been back together for a while now actually! I found Fightstar through Busted "back in the day" when they first split in 2005 :)

Dude, they are fucking solid. Thank you for this request. I really enjoyed them. I'm off to check out some more of their music.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT it's definitely worth reacting to more of their stuff if you get the chance. I'm glad you enjoyed them
I second those songs, especially Deathcar. Also, I recommend The English Way.
@@mutekrabby5039 oh how could I forget The English Way! I was thinking of most of the stuff from their first 2 albums as I think that's some of their best work, although I love Be Human and Behind the Devil's Back.
I'd also throw in the likes of
grand unification pt.1 &
Sink with the snakes into that list
Definitely one of the most underrated bands.
Charlie is a lyrical genius
I agree
I’d argue he is one of the UKs most underrated musicians.
He can go from pop punk type of music with Busted to his singer songwriter/folky solo stuff to his post hardcore/metal side with Fightstar
My favourite song as a young man. 4 children on this is our anthem lol
Lead singer is Charlie from band busted
I really love fightstar❤
Came from a Gunship listen then rolled back 13 years, still good.
I've had Fightstar in my rotation since they released this banger... how the fuck didn't make it is beyond me. Its perfect!!!
Top tracks by them. Waste a moment, Paint your target, One day son plus all their new stuff is legit. 🔥👍
My favourite band when i was a teen, still a bit dissapointing they arent well known, charlie simpson was in Busted i thought everyone knew busted at least
not bad for a 15 year old song :)
I’d love to see you react to Sink With The Snakes off of their album Behind The Devils Back. It’s is phenomenal compared to Palahniuks Laughter
